Seems intrigued with the U. Gymrats, lots of Manny interviews. Since Diaz worked there just maybe we will get better treatment from ESPN. Also seems that the alum that visit camp are getting interviewed more then usual. I think they missed us!

Any time we have even come close to getting our act together, espn has been there to blow us. Before we even do anything they are quick to say the U is back! Its not their fault we keep trippin on our ****s or have admin who for last 15 years or so want to go cheap route not really invest in program and bargain basement shop for corches.

Game changed last few years and we got caught with our pants down, we thought we could be cheap and just be entitled to all local talent without investing in program. Some changes have been made at top last few years so hopefully change will come but the U has always been good for business at espn, good or bad.

ESPN needs to sell the Aug. 24 game, which includes an unranked team. Outside of local and state interest (of course the new season), does anyone care about this game?

What ESPN is doing is they are hyping a game that on paper doesn’t seem like it’ll have much national interest. Hopefully, ESPN is successful in promoting the game and Miami curb stomps Florida before all to see.

People are so desperate for football they watch teams like Troy play in week zero. People watch preseason games. They don't need too much hype

They might like A Cane, but they'll always hate The Canes. How many Canes have worked for ESPN or currently do? If they didn't have something to gain, they'd be trying to tear us down.

Self promotion. If we weren't playing in the 150th anniversary opening game we would be buried on the very last page in the entire internet.
I watched College Football Live on Friday. The whole show was about UM, UF, and FSU. Mostly UM and UF.

Since we are the marque game on 8/24, we'll get plenty of publicity as the game gets closer. We need to take advantage of the publicity with a win against Florida. I win would vault us in or near the Top 10.

Believe it or not, ESPN would go crazy if Miami was actually relevant in the CFB scene. If they’re winning, they’ll be more and more discussion. Two years ago, Miami was talked about a bunch especially with the turnover chain being born. College football is better for everyone when Miami is relevant.

You're crazy. Just go take a look at generic CFB sites and forums like reddit/r/CFB. People are hyped for this rivalry match up. I've seen many many non-UM and UF fans saying it's the best week 0 match up in awhile.

Lma no way. Florida is #13 not #1 or #2. We'd land somewhere between #20 and #15 probably.

It’s for when we stomp the gators. It allows esecpn to not carry much weight against the turds as Miami is great like they have been saying so it let’s them keep the 4 sec schools in the playoff dream alive.

1. They’re promoting our matchup with UF.

2. An evil dynasty is good for their ratings. That’s what we will always be for college football. People hate us but also want us to be back so they have a force to hate. It’s boring without a villain. Without villains James Bond would just be a soft core porno starring a well-dressed British guy.

ESPN would love nothing more than a resurgent Texas, USC. and UM.

Schools in major, expensive media markets with storied histories.

Not many other schools for that bill.
