December 2018- When Richt retired- excusing us from millions of dollars on a buyout- Blake James immediately hired Manny Diaz. Blake interviewed 0 candidates & was crucified for the decision.
December 2021- Manny is fired. Blake is fired. We’re assured the right people are in charge of the hiring process. Once more, we interview 0 candidates. We immediately hire Mario. Only this time, we paid 80 million dollars. *Goodluck to us getting out of that contract*.
We’ve hired 2 head coaches in 4 years & have interviewed 0 candidates for the job outside of the individuals that were hired.
Here we are again, losing at home by 2 touchdowns to some directional school. We made the same exact mistake, yet we expected different results. I don’t know if Mario will have the same fate as his predecessor, however I do know that the long term fate of this program is hanging in the balance.
