Hiring a new OC won't make a bit of difference

Yeah, the hire right now could be sh*t no matter what happens. Look how Richt drove Pruitt crazy. We could bring in guys with great ideas and Richt could sh*t all over it like Coker did with his staff. When we hired MR, I thought he might be an okay CEO, but when he hired himself as OC I losr that hope. He should have never been hired with that role also. MR has to be a CEO that demands results from his position coaches and coordinators, that simply will not happen.

Pruitt is legitimately insane.

I have no doubt Richt stuck his beek in, but that guy is nuts.

I’ve heard some crazy stories from his FSU tenure.

He probably is insane... but the Saban tree is filled with workaholics, I don't think that's compatible with a guy that skips bowl practices on the regular, over promotes coaches, etc.

Yup.

Definitely wasn’t a good fit.

Supposedly Pruitt was more respected by the players.

IF Blake is making the Decision to keep Richt... he has to force his hand with hiring a OC (Play Caller) AND OL coach.... .

Matt Canada as an OC is a **** good start...

If Richt can't comply, then he must move on ... plain and simple.
Should go like this...
Thank you for building a blueprint of how a program is supposed to be run off the field, but your success on the field didn't live up to the standard that everyone, including yourself should or expected to meet.
Pick up your check at the receptionist desk.....

That never works long term.

You hard headed my guy... You do realize Georgia made him do the same thing and got same results? Remember Greyson Lambert or the no name QB before him?

This. People thinking if we just hire an OC/QB coach that everything's going to be clicking. Let us not all forget that Searles is the most expensive OL coach that we've had and he's arguably the worst.

This permeates its way through everything Richt has done - roster management, poor recruiting, lackluster hires, etc...

Changing a couple of coaches on the offensive side of the ball is just rearranging chairs on the Titanic. The problem is with Richt, and to a higher level, Blake James.

What makes you think Richt would hire a good OC if he is the one in charge of hiring an OC? Your head is in the clouds my guy. Why would he hire an OC with a differnt philiosophy then his when his history shows he never has done that?

It's sad when you and I start agreeing. Look at Saban's coaching tree and all of the coaches he puts out. Now look at Richt's coaching tree. Mike Bobo is the only quality assistance coach that has made it under his tree; Manny is results pending. The point is, Richt's not exactly the best at evaluating coaches.

Pruitt was a coach that was forced on Richt, and Pruitt called Richt out on a lot of bull ****.

The way I see it playing out is a few ways:

1. No changes are made. Program remains Chernobyl style toxic. Richt gets fired after next year.

2. James forces him to hire an OC. Richt makes a lazy hire and offense fails again. Richt gets fired after next year.

3. Richt makes changes on his own and hires a good OC to independently run the offense. We become a perennial 10 win team with the occasional 11 win season and the occasional 9 win season. Recruiting bounces back (although we will still miss on the elite guys). The talent we get let’s us own the coastal.

Elite croots are gonna take 4ish years but depends mostly on staff hires. That said, I am totally willing to settle for the less than elite guys that are all over SoFL so long as we are hitting the minimum numbers we need. I don't expect Dent, Surtain & Campbell every year, but d@mn if we could get Davis & Elam types and stack 'em deep, we'll start to slowly rebound. But to do that we have to stay on top of our staff also, constantly trying to improve, Richt simply isn't trying to do that, he wants comfort not championships.

The fastest way for UM to get rid of Richt is by allowing him to not make any changes at all. Keep it all as it is.
If they let him make symbolic changes (that’s all they would be under Richt) all it would accomplish is buying him excuses for more time.

See Mark Richt at Georgia.... they thought the same thing. We paid this dude 4 million a year because he was a big name and could bring in big recruits. As we all see by the last two years this was a complete failure. We didnt bring him in for his offensive prowess. Since he came in name one big time out of state recruit that he has brought in? Deejay Dallas? We had a poster on here that stated DJ was a big time cane fan 5 years ago. He was always coming. Under contract until 2023 at 4 million a year. We are phucked boys, hiring an OC aint gonna do a dam thing, Mark Richt is gonna have his fingerprints all over the offense aint **** gonna change. This season is eerily smilar to his last season at Geogria.. Horrible QB play they had the nerve to bring in a QB transfer from North Carolina and start him...he was horrible and yall want us to bring in a transfer QB lol same thing he did at Georgia that didnt work.... Georgia had enough and we are now in the same boat
Duuummmb. It's so obvious that you're spinning things to fit your agenda.

Richt, up until now was getting recruits. Why does it have to be out of state recruits? In fact, haven't we all been asking for better success with in state recruits? And I'll even play your dumb game. Jarren Williams.

Stopped reading there. Richt sucks ***, but stop pretending you're smart.

Who did we beat out Jarren Williams for.. Kentucky? You proud about winning Kentucky crootin battles? Thats what we paid him 4 milly a year for..mufugga please Please we havent been getting in state recruits etiher what are you talking about mane? Do you want me to name the in state recruits that we have lost out on last year and this year or even the year before that?

The OC won't matter because the reality is Richt has sucked at two of the most important positions for a championship caliber team; DT and OT. Recruiting at those two positions is going to bite us bad in the future.
