See Mark Richt at Georgia.... they thought the same thing. We paid this dude 4 million a year because he was a big name and could bring in big recruits. As we all see by the last two years this was a complete failure. We didnt bring him in for his offensive prowess. Since he came in name one big time out of state recruit that he has brought in? Deejay Dallas? We had a poster on here that stated DJ was a big time cane fan 5 years ago. He was always coming. Under contract until 2023 at 4 million a year. We are phucked boys, hiring an OC aint gonna do a dam thing, Mark Richt is gonna have his fingerprints all over the offense aint **** gonna change. This season is eerily smilar to his last season at Geogria.. Horrible QB play they had the nerve to bring in a QB transfer from North Carolina and start him...he was horrible and yall want us to bring in a transfer QB lol same thing he did at Georgia that didnt work.... Georgia had enough and we are now in the same boat

Yeah it will if Miami scores just 28 ppg we end the season 11-2. Richt is horrible as a playcaller and it doesn’t get any worse. An oc will fix a lot of what was wrong with Miami. No Mark Richt isn’t the guy to lead this program but I’m not willing to go through another pathetic season of horrible offense again either way...

Need an OC and A QB coach to at least be above .500 next year.

To me the QB coach is the everything in this matter. It ties everyones hands because he is Richt's son.

Exactly I cant take another year of this crap.

You hard headed my guy... You do realize Georgia made him do the same thing and got same results? Remember Greyson Lambert or the no name QB before him?

Just hiring an OC is the equivalent of a gun shot victim dying at the trauma center rather than in the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital. You are just putting off the inevitable. The smarter thing to do is completely burn the program down to ashes and build it back up with a much better foundation. Play the long game instead of quick fixes.

The D is gonna take a step back next year, so 28 per game probably wont cut it. We need an OC (Yurcich), a DC (Grinch) and an OL Coach at a minimum. That could get us back to 9ish wins and an okay crooting class. The following year if we keep improving the staff we could get to 10ish wins and be back to crooting around where we need to be, at least to move forward. We need MR to be something he's never been, a proactive CEO that keeps his players motivated and sharp. MR is done imo, and there's no saving his job any more.

I liked Yurich but OSU fans hate him.

Aparently he’s not a very good play caller.

I was all in on "we just need an OC", but not anymore. Richt is fostering a culture of quit, then blaming players when they quit. Richt is MAKING players want to quit, because they see absolutely no hope. A new OC might help, but that alone will not get us where we want to be. For that we need a complete change in direction.

It could make a difference with the right hire. At uga he just turned it over to a guy he had been grooming for years. At this point i would rather just see a new hc.

Do a search of their boards.

They were hoping he’d leave for a HC job.
I wasn't aware. What I really want is an Air Raid or Spread coach that comes from a good system and has coached under proven coaches and got results. He seems to fit that criteria. I'm not saying he leads us to the Super Bowl, but he brings in fresh, proven ideas and makes the O fun to play in.

Oh no, I’m not disagreeing.

I really liked the guy.

But after I read their boards, I’m sort of apprehensive.

Vern is a solid dude but his takes are awful.

A good OC would not solve the core issue, but we’d be a consistent 10-11 win team.

So yes, it would make a big difference.

What makes you think Richt would hire a good OC if he is the one in charge of hiring an OC? Your head is in the clouds my guy. Why would he hire an OC with a differnt philiosophy then his when his history shows he never has done that?

That’s not what you said in the OP.

You said an OC wouldn’t make a difference.

Yeah, the hire right now could be sh*t no matter what happens. Look how Richt drove Pruitt crazy. We could bring in guys with great ideas and Richt could sh*t all over it like Coker did with his staff. When we hired MR, I thought he might be an okay CEO, but when he hired himself as OC I lost that hope. He should have never been hired with that role also. MR has to be a CEO that demands results from his position coaches and coordinators, that simply will not happen.

It would only make us a consistent 10-11 win team if it is an innovative offense, if Mark Richt hires someone that follows his philosophy I don’t think we will consistently reach that threshold.

The OC he hires wont make a difference yes that is correct, BLake James would not be in charge of hiring an OC it will be RIcht he made that clear in prior interviews, look what he did with the DC positionj cmon mane
