That play is all the proof you need not to hire James Coley as a play caller. You have the momentum, plenty of time on the clock, on the 25 yard line of Washington State (or something like that), you have 4 downs to try to get in the end zone......and you ask your RB who hasn't seen snow before to throw the ball in the falling snow? Idiocy at its finest.

Well said

Great final impression by Coley. Like going on a job interview and ripping a 10 second fart as you hop around on one foot as you get up to leave

So effing true. It's as if Coley decided mid week that he was going to shoe horn that stupid play into the game plan no matter what the situation.

That's his downfall. He doesn't seem to have a "feel" for the flow of the game. No situational intelligence. Hence poor ability to make good in-game adjustment.

The man is a mental midget.

Theres a reason why his mentor would rather let him take info and recruits from FSU to Miami instead of lettng him call plays.

Exactly. The fact that he even considered calling that play, especially in that situation, is beyond explanation. Just one of the dumbest things I've ever seen and that's saying a lot given that Al Golden coached here for the past 4+ years.

That was the worst call in Cane history. I'm starting 2 ? if he made that call on purpose. Even tho we no that was a horrible call, let's say the ball doesn't slip out of Yearby's hands & Coley catches it. Do we celebrate & say it was still a bad call or we don't say anything period? Just askin

Its okay to play the result after 5 years, and the result is always unmitigated failure.

Who wouldn't celebrate a successful play regardless how dumb or improbable it was? It doesn't take away the fact it was a dumb, head scratching call in that particular situation. We should say we were lucky as **** it was successful and be happy about the outcome.
