Hightower

He can either come back and feast in this new offense or play that treacherous portal game. It’s a black hole for many who enter it.

P. S. I don’t believe Stumblebum will be back until I actually see it. I can’t believe Manure could be so stupid to keep all these nonrecruiting maggots on both sides of the football.

If we're not making any changes on the defensive side of the ball, anything is possible. We are thin at cornerback in South Florida and there have been zero repercussions or adjustments in strategy. It's almost a bad bar joke.

I think we see a few guys “leave on their own” over the next few weeks.

Any news on Hightower? Would they let him back?

So lots of posters say don’t let him back after playing in a terrible Enos offense. Most were happy when Thomas came back, just what is the difference? Also how about all the posters and Cane fans that are saying they are not renewing tickets will we let them back. If he is humble enough to return i say let him back in and just see if this new spread works for him. Have a team meeting and see what they say before letting him back.

Some of you guys are thinking we have a full roster well we are not close to that. Take him back BUT make sure he realizes one slip up and he's gone. We need bodies and he is a big receiver.

If Manny had a brain, he'd kick some off the team to send a strong signal. Letting them leave on their own just makes him look weak.
I was talking coaches but I see your point. Manny ain’t that type of dude. He needs support from somebody who is. Alonzo Highsmith.

At this point, I would be tempted to take him back. We're down to 7 scholarship receivers. For the offense that we're seeking to run, that does not leave us much room for error when it comes to injuries. I'd like to see us stay at a minimum of 8.

Too much wide receiver attrition in recent years:
2018 (4): Lawrence Cager, Ahmmon Richards, Marquez Ezzard, Darrell Langham
2019 (4): Jeff Thomas, Brian Hightower, Evidence Njoku, K.J. Osborne

We've brought in 6 players in the meantime in 2019 and 2020 classes (if you include Osbourne who has now graduated). Hightower, Ezzard, and Njoku transferring out has not helped.

I am not saying my preference one way or the other, but I think the two main differences are:
1) JT made a number of plays that season before. Granted Hightower did not have a chance, but the reality is JT had more proof of concept in making big plays.
2) People are questioning Manny, his culture, and how much taking back JT or Jarren after quitting impacted that culture after this disaster of a season.

I agree but I’ll play devils advocate here - we had a nice WR haul. No?
