It's possible he can be retained as a director of player personnel or some lower level scouting role. However they may be reluctant to promise anything while they look for a new GM. Personally, I don't think he will be offered the GM role there.

Of course, this whole AH to Miami stuff can be a negotiating ploy to give him leverage for any other NFL openings. But ultimately AH wants a GM role. I think UM understands that. If only lower level scout openings are available he may consider coming back to UM.

I really also think Blake is waiting to see what happens with AH and NFL before serious negotiations start. For one he wants leverage in negotiations as well. He may also be willing to expand the CoS role for AH excluding hiring and firing decisions.
