They were terrible. Not miami caliber players.

But yet the guys we have that replaced them with the same production are "Miami" caliber players?

Just trying to follow along.

There are some guys that deserve apologies from this fan base....**** they deserve apologies from the BOT, Admin and corches too!

I'm sorry guys. I was an ******* and I will do everything in my little fan powers to make sure it don't ever happen again.

No dude, these guys really did suck.

Telemaque was all conference under Shannon and in Draft boards till Golden came in

Do I believe those guys were great players, no, but I do believe they were likely not as bad as this system made them look. I have to agree with the OP, because there were tons of Golden lovers ready to throw every player under the bus so they could continue to use the talent excuse. Those same guys said we would be so much more improved this year with better talent, and here we are, same **** different day.

I told those fools in 2012. That team was like Shannon 08 team, it was night and day between the defenses. Not excuse for getting lit up by every team. Talent, youth, cloud. It changed daily. Now they see these clowns for what they are. Useless excuse machines.

They weren't gifted players, but Albortion didn't do them any favors either.

The replacements look just as bad, and we know the replacements are highly recruited guys that all the big SEC programs wanted.

This, we have guys back there that look lost now.

When was Telemaque terrible? During his rs-freshman year and sophomore he was receiving preseason hype... He was also productive and pretty good until this staff came along... I don't see anyone on the field who has had production similar to Telemaque... I don't doubt the previous staff defensive evaluations... Sam Sheilds was a novice and injured during his 1st year at corner and he made more of an impact (except lining up against Ryan Broyles for Okie in 09) than we have witnessed the past 4 years... We say Ray Armstrong should have been a linebacker but none of our safeties the past 4 years has come close to his impact and production...

Al Golden has ruined many careers and continues to do so. The players mentioned in OP as well as the players that are currently on the team all deserve better than what they got/are getting from this staff.

As long as this staff is in place I will not blame a single kid for how they play. Either Golden brought them in or is not developing them. Either way its Golden's fault.

Telemaque could have been way better than how he ended his career here, showed promise early on. Same for Armstrong.

Im sure Butch, Jimmy, Howard all brought players that weren't "Miami caliber" players. The only difference was they were coached to be better football players.

I say we get the NAACP. Golden is ruining a lot of young black player's career. He is stealing money from them. lol

I think those guys were fine on the team. The problem is because of lack of depth (mostly), they were multi year starters in sh1tty defensive schemes. That's a double deuce of death right there. Those guys should have been good backups and STs guys.
