Report: NCAA teams contacting Tedford

Could a return to the college game be in the cards for Jeff Tedford?

The 54-year-old native of Lynwood, California spent 11 years at the helm of the Golden Bears from 2002 to 2012 when he was let go following a disappointing 3-9 campaign. Tedford held a career 82-57 mark at Cal, including a Pac-12 title in 2006. He is the school's all-time leader in wins. Among the players Tedford coached at Cal are Aaron Rodgers, Marshawn Lynch, Alex Mack and Marvin Jones.
Tedford spent the 2014 season as the offensive co-ordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Lovie Smith before taking the Lions job in December of last year. The Lions finished third in the West with a 7-11 record. The team was a 35-9 loser to the Calgary Stampeders in the Western Semi-Final on November 15.
Though the number will increase at season's end, already known NCAA coaching openings for next season include USC, Mizzou, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Miami.

What would make him qualified to take on the Miami job except experience of mediocrity?

Not saying he should be the head coach here, but I love how people are just gonna trash this guy. Won a Pac 10 title at Cal. Not an easy place to win at.

I just dont see them hiring Moss. He has no head coach experience and we need to get this right. Of course that means they will totally hire him.
