Highest paid total salaries in the nfl per college

Interesting how cal is so high. Gotta be because of Rodgers a little bit
Definitely, for a lot of years they have been surprisingly high on the list of total active players in the NFL. And have pumped out some pretty high profile guys over the years.

Currently having a highly paid starting QB is the key to this list.

Back when we were QB U with Kelly, Kosar and Testaverde we would have lapped the entire list

Miami, Cal and USC under-performing big time. But we all knew that. These SEC schools have had a good 10-15 year run because the schools that should be great have been in turmoil, usually because of bad coaching decisions. Canes, Trojans, Texas being tops among them. Cal easier to explain given it's exceptional but idiosyncratic academic environment.

Crap, racist schools like Alabama and Clemson, with 1/50th the local recruiting pool, should never be able to reach the BCS year in and year out. Even $$ doesn't explain it. The only explanation is the failure of the admin and AD at schools like Miami to recognize and act on their competitive advantage.

I assume the total is the total value of current contracts?

I think Matthew Stafford's (Georgia) current contract with Detroit was valued over $90M, maybe $100M.

Further evidence fsu and floriduh players are busts when they get to the league.

Especially uf who has had the 2 most 1st round picks since 2010 yet still lag behind Miami a bit in overall money in the league.
