We're a month away from signing day, and Al Golden has disappeared. Multiple sources have confirmed that Golden is not in contact with staff and is what was described as "off the grid". Assistant coaches are still out on the recruiting trail, which means that the staff is unlikely to see significant changes. Personnel changes are allegedly a bone of contention between Golden and Athletic Director Blake James, despite claims to the contrary by James. This isn't the first time Golden has disappeared without warning. Last year, following his interview with Penn State, Golden wasn't seen for a week, he was allegedly mulling an offer from the Nittany Lions. goldens parents live in naples but him wife is from central PA. No man's land and probably doesnt like it here. Honestly, golden has so much energy and fire his first 3 years. last year they were 7-0, morris on one leg, duke and dorsett get hurt, and he collapses. also, he did sign a pretty talented class but i think he really wanted Penn st., they didnt want him and he lost his energy. totally different guy since then, in the past he was running on the field, bumping guys, now he just is shiftless.
