Hey Butch Davis Zombies

Not trying to set anyone off. Dont mean anything negative or accusatory by this. Who were the coaches that were available when Richt came on? Also, who were the coaches that were available to be plucked or enticed? Anyone know what their records are now? I don't really remember what we were looking at. Was there anyone one that we fawned over who we wouldn't touch now or vice versa? Curious.

I own my post and will stand by it until proven wrong. Butch has the blueprint, and he's the only one that does. Just name the coach who wants to come turn this shytshow around, Kiff would be my #2 at this point, its too far gone for some unproven rookie. The next guy better know WTF he's doin or it could be lights out !!

I was laughed at as well. Butch brings an understanding of what he is actually fighting in recruiting with the $EC mainly, and also understands the need for strong assistants on both sides of the ball. (Now whether Blake/BOT would have allowed/spent on it is another issue.)

**** yeah I wanted Mark to succeed....really thought he would check his ego at the door and legacy focus. Dead wrong there. I have never seen a guy like Richt look so overwhelmingly out of place. He looks lost and doesn't seem to really care if he finds his way or not.

Agree, he has learned quite a bit about coaching since his very first gig, as most coaches would. He has also not forgotten what it takes to identify athletes and talk them into coming here. Imo he is better than Jimmy in this regard, Damm he somehow talked all those first rounders into going to UNC, a BB school who had never won jack on the grid. Mork was fools gold from the start and I and a few more on here called it such, you may have been one of them as well

May we NEVER forget the fact the Butchs' talent evaluations is the stuff of legends. He is also space age when it comes to getting the most from that talent.
