HEY AL the Central Michigan Head job is open!!!!

Nobody in thier right mind will hire this fool. His days as a HC are done or atlEast should be.

Actually PAR....he has shown that he isn't able to match up with the good teams. He's just not good enough of a coach to play in the A league. But outside of that he walks the walk and talks the talk...does solid recruiting a certain type of player..one that fits a more "underdog" mentality.

Golden will land another gig for sure...at a smaller school like this or as an assistant somewhere.
As long as the expectations aren't that high...he'll be all good...and it can't happen soon enough for me!

Apparently the expectations aren't that high here though...

He might be here for good

I don't like Golden. That being said, I think if he got a legit D coordinator running a 4-3 he would do well. He is very likeable and has good intentions. His biggest problem is that He has been too loyal his 3-4 D and to coach no D and Franklin.

He's an idiot for not changing and it will be his downfall and own fault.

Wouldn't change a thing.

He'd manage to royally ***** that up too, in order to prevent "THE BIG PLAY."

The only way somebody can say something like this is if they like the ***. It doesn't matter what golden runs the Man is a complete fool and he will never win anything here.

****, he can't match up with bad teams either....2-10 Maryland, 4-8 bc in 2011, 5-7 sPitt, a terrible Virginia team from a few years ago etc etc. in some cases ( bc 2011) he had a hide talent advantage and still lost. Golden isnt partially garbage he's an all around failure. He's press conferences are a joke now with all the excuses.

You're missing the point PAR. All of those teams are STILL leaps and bounds better than what would be waiting in a place like the MAC. It took all of us a little digging to really find out that Al couldn't cut it as the HC for a school like Miami. There are coaches who get hired and re-hired all the time with bad records....for some schools it's just about having a coach that just doesn't make life miserable for the University.

If that's the case why do school with sorry w/l records fire coaches despite not having any " off field issues" if you will? Things are fine everywhere except the w/l record of the team. Ultimately I think every school hired a new guy with the Intent win. That's how I feel. U see it differently. That's the difference.

He won 6 games twice in 4 years at Miami with a roster stacked with NFL talent playing in the worst division in the worst power 5 conference in football. What makes anyone think he could win at a place like Central Michigan, or anywhere else for that matter?

His putrescence is obvious to everyone now, which is why he's clinging so hard to the checks he's stealing from UM. He knows his next gig as 8th team analyst on ESPN 3 won't be anywhere near as lucrative, so he's hanging on despite loathing it here.

Randy Shannon had the exact same record in Miami as Golden does now. His next stop was position coach. At least Shannon, as bad of a coach as he was, proved he could beat a team with a pulse (FSU, Oklahoma, etc.) every once in a while. His next stop was position coach. I'd be shocked if Golden ever was a head coach again once he gets fired from Miami.

Golden is a white man so he will get a chance to be a head coach again!!!

Sad to say but this is exactly what I thought.

And that sucks.

Golden is white, he will get a chance sooner. Its just a fact racisms there no reason to waste time beating around the bush so...

As of last year, the only black head coach that had a head coaching job, was fired, and has gotten a second chance is Ty Willingham. And then he was fired 3 years later and has retired. He was only given a chance again because at the Worst job in the PAC 12 that never had any chance of succeeding at. And that was a guy that is so respected he was part of the selection committee for the national championship.
