Oh I do have that mentality. However, when I was 23 I did some pretty stupid things myself that I would NEVER do now. How I even lived through my 20s is amazing.

No BUT DUI with bodily injury with loss of movement/nerve damage would automatically qualify as a serious injury which in any state would carry a higher penalty. In essence, he isn’t just getting probation like he probably would with a basic injury.
