You need to ask why. Really? You fire Golden so you can get a jumpstart to who's interested and who's not. All the calls to agents would not happen with a coach still employed.

What about the DL coach who came from Tampa. He's that inept. Jesus we were really screwed
 
Not sure what can be done this year. Players are too slow for our old defense. Still would be nice to just go into 4-3 and tell front 4 lets play meet me at the QB and play run along the way. Then tell the corners to jam jam jam. everyone else find somebody to hit. How must worse could it be.

Still the real game is the next coach. We won the first half -- Golden is gone. Now we need press defense and full out attack on offense against the pro losing members of the BOT and Blake. The last game have no meaning to our future. What matters is who is the next HC. We have some differences in opinion on who but I thin we all agree that the BOT, Blake and the administration cannot be trust to do anything but mess up. If we are all in agreement about NOT hiring certain one who keep getting trail balloons floated (Mario) then make sure we get that know.
 
Just hoping no one else gets hurt. Get the young guys that burned their shirt (J Johnson, Cager, etc.) more reps with the starters and prepare for next year. Get Redwine in at CB and get our LBs some reps. Save Grace from injury. IF we land the right coach, we contend for the division and maybe the conference with what we have coming back. Time to build some depth.
 
Coach Scott makes us laugh.... Time for another culture change. AGs softness has made its rounds
 
Speaks to several things, but here are the main 2:

#1 is that this is exactly why you don't hire a staff of "recruiters" to coach your football team. Look at the type of assistants Howard, JJ, Dennis, and Butch had. Those dudes were awesome coaches. The guys on our staff are amateurs.

#2 despite the coaches being amateurs, it is inexcusable to run a system and not have your staff understand it. Either hire better staff, or run a more basic system. Inexcusable.

You still need to make changes to what you're doing for the remaining games. This business as usual **** is what got us into this dilema. The coaches left should be doing everything in their power to change things up because they're interviewing for their next job.
 
Ya'll should read on Chizick philosophies he brought to UNC.. simplified everything.. very few calls.. basic jobs without too many reads. UNC is giving up 22 less points a game this year.
 
And now I sit here thinking to myself..... Who is the person that evaluated the Dfensive coaches and determined that no one was qualified to take over for Donofritos??? Blake or Scott?? does anyone know...it certainly could not have been Blake

I took this to mean that no one is capable of running the defense because they are not seasoned enough to do so. In other words they're saying that the assistant coaches on Dfense suck.

To add onto this, it's pretty bad that some of the coaches have been here for years like Hurlie and Paul Williams, yet none of them understand the defense. How's Hurlie supposed to rip one of the LB's when they were out of position on a play, and the same with Paul and the secondary?

Yup he runs our old defense. He learned it under Tubbs.

Larry is a college tight end coach. No experience with play calling and he most certainly doesn't have permission to hire people so why is everyone surprised he hasn't changed anything? He doesn't know what else to do other than what the team already knows for the last five years. Won't change until a HC is hired and he brings in a staff

let me ask you, why haven't you moved on? who gives two flying ****s about al golden at this point? his regime is doneski. we have to have coaches. although our coaching staff sucks what do you expect?
