Here to eat crow (Dan Enos)

Run game looked suspect all night. Also at one point we were 1/9 on third downs. I think it’s more on the young players (mainly the o line) than on Enos and his play calling.

Because Enos and Wdub don’t attempt a pass of more than 10 yards. So teams will stop the run and kill our OL and QB. Easy

You’re right on that, I don’t recall Williams trying to push it down field once. Was Pope injured today or something?

First let me start off by saying that I will support the canes and go to the games even if they go 0-12.

Now, before the National Championship I made a solo thread on DAN ENOS under another username and spoke highly of him(Arel305).
After every game this season I have defended ENOS and his play calling and I can't no more. It might be early, but man I was wrong about ENOS, if you know we don't have a stellar offensive line why call under center play action passes in the redzone? Play action works when you have an effective run game.... Just saying
Respect. Penos had a lot of smart football people drinking the kool aide.

Enos has never been impressive but our retarded fanbase crowned him like we always do. Manny needs to go get a young aggressive OC this offseason.

I was a fan of the Enos hire as well. He's always come across as a really smart offensive mind and is well respected as a QB coach, something we have lacked for what seems an eternity.

I'm hanging off that bandwagon with my head about to bounce off the ground. The only reason it's not is because at the same time i'm too busy being infuriated by Blake Baker's determined destruction of Manny's defense. That 3-man front, Rousseau playing NT, zone blitzing and dropping guys who have no business playing in space is on my last nerve. Plus i will never get the taste of the 4th and 17 out of my mouth.

I was also a fan of the Enos hire. I fell for the connection to Saban.

Tua threw 5 TDs for the second week in a row this afternoon. Yes, against bad teams, but still. I think Tua is making a lot of coaches look better than they are. Enos is one of those coaches.

Enos is a good QB coach. But being a good QB coach is not the same thing as being a good OC.
Shawn Watson is a really good QB coach. He's a horrible OC.
Dan Mullen has probably produced 2 QBs his entire career that another coach would be able to do anything with in their offense. But he's a really good OC, so puts up points with them anyway.

It’s ok. I was def high on him too to start the season. But he is incredibly stubborn, which is one of the worst traits you can have as a coach.

nah but everyone loved when he publicly trashed his QB after getting buzz sawed by grantham in the second half. hes been a huge disappointment and hasn't adjusted once this year.

Enos did quality work as OC at Arkansas. At least, I read that on CIS. Four games into his tenure at Miami, not so good.

Enos did okay work at Arkansas behind an absolute elite OL and elite RB. When you're able to just manhandle teams at the point of attack, you can run just about any offense and have success. So what?

If you didn't know what kind of talent you were going to get. if I just put a bunch of talent levels in a hat and made you draw from the hat. BUT, before you drew from the hat, I let you pick the type of offensive system you were going to run with that random talent level. The essential question is: would this be the offensive system anybody with even have a brain would pick?
The answer is obviously no.
