Here is how I see this..

Richt got himself a job as long as he wants by getting the IPF built..all we can hope for is his common sense when he looks in a mirror will overcome his ego and he will hire someone with a playbook that contains more than 4-5 plays.

The offense you see MR running is an offense you give to 6-7 yr olds that can’t remember plays and it’s pathetic. The excuse that was thrown out the last couple years about him not being able to open up the playbook is BS.This IS his fcking playbook circa 1945.

If you trust in a supreme being drop to your knees and pray this happens cause if he doesn’t we are F C KED

1. CMR is going nowhere for a while and so it is useless to call for his head.
2. We knew after LSU this was not an elite team. 10-2 is a good year .9-3 should not surprise anyone.
3. Let's give UVA some credit. They had 2 weeks to prepare, had fresh legs and played some good D. We came off an emotional win against our top rival. Vegas clued us in that this game would be close.
4. Honestly, knowing the team we have, I'd rather go to a decent bowl with some national attention and beat a top 15-25 team than sneak into the playoffs with this team and be blown away.
5. QB is the most important position on the field and we have no answer at this point.CMR will look like a genius when he has the right guy back there. Look at Frost in Nebraska. The guy could do no wrong at UCF but in hindsight, it was his QB that made him look so good.

well said, and I'm ready for the Jarren Williams era to begin.

If you take a look at Tua, Kyler, or Herbert to see how they play the position, then you'll realize the difference between where we want to be and where we are. A baller at QB changes everything for Miami and the endless perseveration on play-calling and scheme is a little over-the-top, but I understand this is a fan site driven by emotion.

Challenge is where to go from here... I think both QBs hurt the team and showed why they shouldn't be starting; Perry turns bad plays into disasters by panicking with the slightest pocket-pressure and Rosier is too limited to keep defenses honest. Both can hurt the team, but who gives []__[] the best chance to win?

Looking forward, I think the QB recruiting would be my biggest concern at this stage and I hope we add a grad transfer for competition.

I don't know why people are down voting this. The truth hurts for these slurpers.

Look at that more coach worship.
Find every possible angle to excuse Richt from the consequences of the decisions he made when hiring the offensive staff and taking a dump on all the nepotism rules.
I honestly feel bad for Richt. He seems like truly a good person so I feel bad for what’s coming his way. BUT make no mistake this is all of his own doing.
He should have had the true best interest of the institution that hired him and winning when he took the job instead of deciding it was playtime let’s pretend to be the OC and hiring his son to play at being the QB coach.
Saban was a great DC (way better DC than Richt was OC) and you don’t see Saban naming himself DC. Sure he is involved but is not calling the defense.
I’m sure it has something to do with being able to do an unbiased evaluation of the job performance of the DC.

"CMR will look like a genius when he has the right guy back there" This is why it is being downvoted and rightfully so. Richt isn't even close to an offensive genius.

Any coach looks like a genius with the right guy at QB. Mack Brown looked like a all-star coach with Vince Young.

Don't. He's a big boy and gets paid very well to make these decisions.

I and most fans agree with this sentiment; how could this have been handled differently and what should be done moving forward?

I would have brought in a grad transfer or immediate eligible transfer. Also would have worked all spring and summer on some spread concepts to better fit personnel. Moving forward hire a real oc/qb coach. Just being honest our qb position looks like a pop warner team.

I never said I would've given him an extension. It's hard not to do so when you win coach of the year. The new contract is through 2023. I have no idea what the buyout is on the contract.

Is it really hard? How about "Mark, we think your doing a fine job but we need you to at least win the ACC before we give your an extension. It is only year 2 of your deal."

Where was Mork going to go if Miami said that?
