Herbie and Galloway not convinced?

When are you guys going to understand literally none of this matters?

Let me put it this way, IF WE WIN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, there will be threads made on this very board from "national" clowns discrediting it. We played in the ACC so we had an easier path through the season, NIL killed everything and now there's parity, Saban retired so it's easier, FSU and UiF are coached by mutant assclowns and don't have the money to compete so it's easier, Miami spent more than anyone else by $500 million, they better have won, etc. etc. etc.

I will bet my life on it. We're never going to get any credit, EVER. Sure as **** not in September. And I don't understand why you all care so much. You know what made me feel better than any article, tweet, ESPN spot or media segment I've ever read or seen? Standing in the middle of a thousand bull gators last year in the Sewer, watching those slack-jawed dorks file out of there, shoulders slumped, miserable and defeated. I was on cloud ******* nine. THAT is why I put so much emotion into this program. Not so Joey ******* Galloway can give me an attaboy.

THEY. HATE. US. Why can't yall understand that, and much more importantly, why do you wanna change it? It's why I love this program. I LOVE that they hate us. I want more articles and videos telling us we're no good. Why? Because nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to sitting in a stadium and watching someone you hate fold like a **** chair. ND did it. UiF did it. FSU's gonna do it. And so is everyone else. That's what makes me jump out of my skin, not these ****head muppets saying how great we are.

Go Canes, and **** everyone else.

The problem with this is if you just put up record it lacks context. Notre Dame lost to two top 15 teams by a total of 4pts. Florida has found a way to stay in the game against two top ten teams back to back. Additionally, USF at the time was the only team with wins against two ranked opponents at the time. When placed in context we've had one of the tougher starts to the season of anyone not named Florida

I think I just came reading that.
Do you happen to have a cigarette?
 
Herbstreit spent all last week talking about how UF would give us a game and how it was a tricky spot for Miami just to immediately pivot to being unimpressed by a 19 point win.

Side note: I watched a replay of the game before it was up on ACC’s YouTube channel that had the UF radio broadcast as the audio and they sounded less invested in Florida winning than Herbstreit did Saturday.

Context and this place don’t mix. I agree to an extent with your point. I’m just stating how this same season would be perceived around here without the orange and green shades on

UF winning helps the ESPN narrative that the SEC is the best.

People around here are also incredibly sensitive. Neither of them said anything that wasn't a completely fair observation.

Quick recap for those that will just start frothing and not actual watch the video:

Galloway: UF offense just surrendered, didn't really want to be out there. Miami's defense is good, but UF O's effort sucked. Their defense at least fought back a little.

Herbstreit: UM is very good, Carson Beck needs to return to form ASAP. UM has the best defensive front, but UF defense is also good.

On one hand, I get the skepticism, because of season's past and Mario's game management flaws. Miami has to get through a November without issues.

HOWEVER...

You can only beat who is on the schedule and you can't win (or lose) a game you haven't played yet. More people picked ND to beat Miami than not, they were wrong. People thought USF was gonna give Miami a game, wrong again. People thought Florida would get right against Miami, they were wrong.

I'd say the biggest flaws this team has are the offense going into lulls for 3-4 series at a time, and possibly the WRs getting separation against top of the line corners. But if Miami gets Jojo back, I feel much better about that second part. The lulls will come down to Mario either restricting Dawson or letting him do his thing.

For as many people that doubt Miami, I listened to a podcast that said 10-2 would be a failure for this season. So there are some that have high expectations. Doesn't matter either way, boys just have to stay focused, stay healthy, and get ready to beat FSU.

Sounds fair.
Not that I care and not that I've listened to anything with panelists and talking heads since 2002.
