Herbert Update

I actually am a little more confident in a few of our OL that we have currently. I also believe another SC offseason will help the kids that stick around.

Herbert could use a rs but wont get one because thats their pitch to get him. Herbert might not start but will probably be in the 2 deep and get reps.

I agree, the kid's technique is definitely sound. His only knock is S&C and needing to put on more weight.
 
Im being cautiously optimistic about this class and how this staff closes.. Seems we may have quite a diff looking signing class then what we currently have committed in a good way.
 
Last time he hauled a couple local hoss OL from the same school like Herbert and Slaton was when we nabbed Wimbs and Bain from Pompano.

Guess it depends on how you define "hoss" but we also got Brandon Washington and Ben Jones from Northwestern in one class.

You guys were all doom and gloom just a few days ago, talking about Donaldson, Johnson, Njoku and others like they were already gone. Stood no chance at Henderson or Edwards returning, ing about **** near every position group we are recruiting as being not good enough and now it seems everyone's tune has changed. Stop being soft shouldered and let the Richt Gang do their job and see how it shakes out come February. I like our chances.

Don't forget about Hillery. More athletic, nice frame to add 300+ and would still maintain a solid structure. If we get Donaldson, Slaton and Herbert, I'll wear a "We're Back" t-shirt every day starting 1/13/2017 until after the Spring Game.
 
....Herbert imo needs a redshirt then would be a good one. I don't like his feet...but he can pass pro likely better than anyone were targeting in this class still. If we land all the kids were after at OL...Look out...Herbert/Slaton/Hillery/Gaynor/Dykstra/Donaldson...crazy haul.....But I'm cool with getting one out of the two from AH and landing Bateman/ or kid from Oh.

We have to cut some of our dead weight ol ..asap. Especially considering we may have some EE's at OL.
