Herald: Richt mulls lineup change+ notes on state of program

Maybe not dominating yet, but to have one of "those" seasons, you need to catch some breaks or have the 50/50 games go your way. And that's what's happening so far. Learning how to win close games is a skill, and it doesn't matter if it takes a little good fortune/luck to help the learning process along.

Yeah, there is some "luck," but then again I don't think it's any coincidence that after almost 15 years of not really getting much of this kind of luck, we finally won a close game against our biggest rival on the road, and followed that up with a close win over a tough Coastal opponent. There's definitely a "learn how to win" aspect that any team on the rise has to achieve before it hits the next level. It reminds me of our 1999-2000 teams. In '99, we had a decent team with some good talent, racked up a nice win against O$U and the bowl game against GT....a few good wins, but didn't really know how to win those close games. In 2000, the game against Washington aside, we finally learned how to win those tough close games.
