Unfortunately, your mom missed the window for legally aborting you.

It’s a game on campus. How many state resources are going to be sapped for a 3 hour football game on a campus far away from any damage? Do you think everyone in the state will need to converge on the area of the coast where there will likely be very modest damage? Just stop.

I really don’t want to keep this going because it serves no point, but you should know that stadium security and logistics consume extensive local and regional resources.

To answer your question, highway patrol and metropolitan resources... including air support and first responder mobilization (as just a couple examples).

I’m working on relief flights to the Bahamas now. If the NC coast gets hit really hard - which is looking less likely now with recent weakening - it could impact the game.

Even now there are TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions) in place all the way inland to Columbia SC.

What 'regional resources' does stadium security and logistics consume? Security will be provided by campus and CH PD, and possibly Wake Co sheriffs and other near-vicinity PDs looking for overtime pay.

Exactly. Anytime someone starts with "I don't want to keep this going, but..." they're almost always just a pot stirrer.

I only posted in the first place because somebody else was getting unfairly attacked. Correcting misinformation that actually matters to Hurricane impacted areas is something I’m willing to waste time posting about.

This plane is going to pick up a stranded family on Treasure Cay and drop off supplies... and will be shuttling supplies for the remainder of the week.

Football matters, but lives matter more.

Good job getting yourself over, but the damage in the Bahamas has zero to do with the light showers Craphole Hill will face.

In 1999, after getting hit by three hurricanes in two weeks, Greenville NC and much of Eastern NC were water-locked during the rising waters of the '500 year flood'. Incidentally, the ECU football team buses, escorted by the Greenville PD/FD, found a way out of Greenville to play their relocated game against the Miami Hurricanes ironically. ECU fans tore down Carter Finley's goalposts after the upset win. Fans across Eastern NC got to escape the catastrophe, for three hours at least and enjoy some football.

So Dorian is making landfall as we speak. I would say my prediction made at 6am was pretty close. In fact Raleigh is getting pounded. 16 Tornadoes recorded today throughout the Carolinas. This is turning out to be not just a coastal event but a inland event.

It will be completely gone from Carolina mid day tommorow. It’s only raining in chapel hill. School isn’t even canceled at unc on Friday

Doesn’t look like any tornadoes near chapel hill
