Herald reporting that NC game is on

Would be shocked if this game is not called off by 4pm today. Tropical storm force winds now extend over 150 miles from the center. Willmington already this morning has Tornado watches.

Only people who have to worry about the wind are the punters. LETS GO CANES! :neonu:

Hahahahah I was thinking the same thing. I follow storms way too closely as well, I wouldn’t say it’s a hobby but I keep myself as informed as I possibly can via several different avenues. But I got mansplained about an aftermath to an area that has a 0% chance of hurricane force winds. If buddy’s other hobby is betting on sports I’d love to handicap his plays too.

The concern isn’t wind or damage to Raleigh... the concern is about allocation of resources (and PR of playing a football game) if there is substantial damage to the coast requiring a major recovery effort.

Really? You think the UNC campus police were otherwise going to beat it out to the coast (150+ miles away) to help out?

Stop with this concern about damage somewhere else in the state. We’re not going there to **** on the graves of war heroes. We’re going there for 3 hours to play a football game in an area that will basically have felt a thunderstorm. No one is being desecrated by this 3 hour football game.

These dudes have been so brainwashed by the social justice machine that they equate playing a 3 hour football game on a campus that won’t be impacted with lining up 10000 old ladies and punching them in the face. They act like if there’s damage in one part of a state that everyone in that state must either obey a 3 week moment of silence or rush there and fix it immediately.

I just hope the field isn't too sloppy after all that rain. The son will be shining all day Saturday so that should help.

220+ miles away. Are people on here suffering from amnesia? We just felt the same effects on Monday as Raleigh will feel tonight. Safe to say there will still be a field to play on come Saturday.
