"Twenty seven points allowed by UM’s defense the past three games were in drives that started in UM territory, including two second-half drives by BC that started at the UM 14-yard line."

"the defense feel pressure to perform well when the offense is trying to find itself?"

“Can’t do that,’’ Garvin said. “It’ll take us out of our game. We’ve got to play like we did coming into the season. Because if we did that, we’d be trying to be Super Man and every time you try to be Super Man, you end up getting burned real bad.”

Short field sucks for sure and that sh*t needs to get fixed but we’ve been terrible all year on defense in the red zone vs LSU, vs FSU, Boston college all had multiple touchdowns in the red zone. Imagine how different the LSU game could have been if we forced field goals instead of some of the touchdowns we gave up.

Regardless can’t complain too much about the defense on the year other than the 2nd quarter vs LSU and the game vs Boston college

1st down hand off for 2 yard gain
2nd down hand off to the other side (when we are really being creative) 3 yard gain.
3rd down short unimaginative pass incomplete with 2 OL on ****s at Malik's feet.
4th down shank punt

Must stop. Our D cannot save us from this atrocity every time. Our D Linemen are dropping weight rapidly like distance runners from having to run back on the field so quickly. Sux.

I still believe we lose by at least 2 touchdowns. They started playing prevent and let us score at the end. If the game is closer they don’t call off the dogs. Game wouldn’t have been close regardless.

Sounds like the defense is tired of having the other team have a short field.

Again, I was down voted by a couple of posters (they know who they are) when I said the defense was getting tired of the offense's shenanigans. The defense has been playing lights out, giving the O great field position and in return, they have to stand on their head the whole game.
