Can someone help me understand how the new year 6 bowl selection works? Let’s say Clemson beats ND and both get in the playoffs... shouldn’t the team with the next best record get in? Miami only has 2 conference losses compared with 3 for next after us..

If both clemson and nd get in the playoffs the Highest ranked team left will get the orange bowl.
