Hoping for a little info from the group, flying down for my first Canes game in Miami for the Stanford (military appreciation game)
I'm flying into Ft L and renting a car, planning to buy parking in yellow or orange lot, is either better for tailgaiting or just getting in/out?
Looking forward to a game at HRS, if the wife can't get off work I may be wandering the parking lot on my own looking for some Canes fans for a pre-game beer!
Any suggestions that I should consider I'd appreciate it.

Soooo...you shouldn't have too many problems for the Stanford game, it's not a huge game, it's not a rivalry game.
If you can get Orange...get Orange. There used to be more Orange parking, but now it is just a couple of large lots east of the stadium, so you will only be coming in from one direction (from the east), either via the turnpike exit (which drops you down right into the north end of Orange) or via NW 199th Street on the south side of the stadium.
Yellow is more confusing due to variety. I have parked in the Yellow lot that is north of NW 199th Street in the past, it is NOT as good for tailgating. While Orange (and Green) are largely paved driving lanes with a lot of grassy areas where you actually park your car, the Yellow lot north of NW 199th Street is a hard unpaved surface with no grass. Definitely not as welcoming, as a surface on which to set up tents, throw the football, etc. There are two Yellow lots SOUTH of NW 199th Street that are more like traditional paved parking lots (still no grass), and I know that at least one of them has flooded in the past under heavy rain. All three of these Yellow lots have pedestrian bridges that allow you to get into the Orange/Green parking areas quite easily and safely. Finally, there appears to be a fourth Yellow lot on the WEST side of the stadium, but I've never parked there, so I can't really give any info on that one.
Generally, there is "interior" parking (requiring a donation) that is the Orange/Green/Black/Blue areas north of NW 199th Street and in-between the two north-south "access roads" to either side of the stadium. On the east, you have the one access road that comes off of the Turnpike exit, and the one access road on the west side of the stadium was more heavily used by buses and RVs until they converted some of the land for the Dolphins practice facility.
Finally, when you are out and about in the Orange/Green/Yellow areas, you will see some of the permanent and temporary Formula 1 equipment and buildings. Sometimes, it is not as easy to walk in a direct line to the stadium without detouring around certain things or taking a pedestrian bridge. As you get close to the stadium, you will likely take a pedestrian UNDERPASS to get to where they scan your tickets and admit you into the stadium.
