Hedley Having a Very Steady Season, No Complaints Mate

He is 12th Nationally in punt average...!!! He has been huge!

He knows how to delay the punt as well to allow the punt team to get coverage, hence, no returns. His net average is probably in the top 10!

Plus he is only a Sophmore...

Here are some more stats:
41 total punts
2 touchbacks
15 Inside the 20...
17 returned for a total of 66 yards = 3.88 yards per return....
I never thought I’d be this jazzed about punting stats, but those numbers are awesome.

Louis Hedley is steadily doing his thing - flipping that field position. Currently 4th in ACC in Punting Average. He has a nice touch on his kill punts inside the ten (a rarity last year), and I don't recall a single shank.

Through 10 games:
Headily: 41 for 1870 yards - 45.6 yds per punt.

2018 Season Totals:
Spicer: 34 for 1282 yards - 37.7 yards per punt.
Feagles: 30 for 1186 yards - 38.9 yards per punt.View attachment 101817
Consistency!!!

Feagles transferred out to Rutgers and is behind another Aussie there.

"Feagles punted last season for Miami and averaged 38.9 yards on a total of 30 punts, with 11 of those landing inside the 20-yard line. A year prior to that, Feagles was Miami’s sole punter and averaged 38.6 yards on 72 punts."

"Feagles will be part of a punter group at Rutgers that is headed up by Australian native Adam Korsak. Last season, Korsak thrived in a starting role after taking over for former All-Big Ten first-team punter Ryan Anderson."

"Korsak is the starter and has two more years of eligibility remaining. He has been backed up this summer by freshman walk-on David Broncati."

There's no way feagles averaged almost 40 yards punting. He would have had to boom some 80+yds to average out those 10 yard shanks.

Co-MVP next to JW so far. And we have Lou for 2 more years......................

That mustache is as good a disguise as Clark Kent's glasses bro, but he's not fooling me!

I gotta admit I never thought I'd look forward to seeing our punter take the field.

The 15 inside the 20 is freaking awesome. I wonder, how many of those are inside the 10? He has to be close to leading the nation in punts inside the 10. To have an average of 45+ AND have so many punts inside the 20 is something else. Those punts, generally speaking, hurt an average.

He had a few short ones that bounced a ways but very consistent and no shanks. All you can ask for

These jacked kangaroo pics are making me laugh more than I should. Hadley's been a great addition, particularly when you consider Feagles was comparable to a paraplegic.
