The defense is literally the reason we didn’t get blown out in the second half while Beck was playing pitch and catch with the UL defense.

We obviously didn’t watch the same game
Yeah giving up nearly 400 yards of offense, masterclass

Brohm been in the game a long time and got the better of Hetherman. It happens. Also didnt help gifting them 4 turnovers. Next week vs Lashlee offense should be a good test for him.
Did you or anyone else here watch the last 3 minutes of the BC vs Louisville game?

UL up by 7 points and it was a 3rd and 2 I believe. Can’t remember exactly.

If BC gets the stop they get the ball back with 2 minute timeout and 1 timeout in the bag.

With a stacked box expecting a run, Brohm called a play action to a wide open Skinner for like 10-15 yards.

A few plays later to close out the game, on a 2nd and 15, ran it for like a 40 yard TD.

Game over!!

Just a different level caller.

I watched a lot of other games yesterday

Needless to say that added to how livid I was in the first half with our run game calls

We are absolutely archaic compared to other teams and it’s miserable to watch at times

Just have to remind myself only an idiot would expect things to be different

He got abused the first 2 drives. He made adjustments and the defense tightened up and played pretty good the rest of the game. Louisville still had a couple critical drives in the 2nd half where Heatherman was just a step behind for those series. Heatherman lost the battle that night.

Our defense, and most defenses in general are never going to stop the opposing offense on every drive. I can live with that. I love the fact his defense makes adjustments and plays hard the entire game. Dawson was the one that night that got taken to the woodshed all night and had no answer other than get the ball to Toney. Heatherman got knocked down twice in round one, but got back in there and fought hard until the last round.

I am a bit disappointed that he has allowed our last 3 opponents to just come out and destroy us on their opening possession. That has to stop. Our offense seems go into a shell when playing from behind. That's not Heatherman's fault, but it would be nice to take some pressure off the offense if we weren't down immediately early in the game.

We came out in that first half (attitude and play calls) in the same exact way we did vs Louisville, except not as many downfield throws. The only two I remember was to Toney when he was open and Carson over threw him and one he completed on a deep crossing route to Johnson.

The coaches changed nothing except the personnel (more Tony Johnson and Moore). Otherwise, it looked the same.
