Small part of a larger article in the Sun Sentinel - written by Christy Chirinos.
For his part, Quarterman is now hoping all the lessons he’s learned in his first three years as a Hurricane will translate into a memorable senior year and a legacy that will live on long after he’s left Miami.
“I just want the alumni we have now — Ray Lewis, Jon Beason, Jon Vilma, D.J. Williams — there’s a poster in the linebacker room with all the great linebackers and I want to belong,” Quarterman said. “I want to be put up there because I deserve to be there. I did what I was supposed to do. I held up to the standard and I held the chain. I didn’t let it break while I was here. If they put me on that list, I might cry. But that’s all I need. That’s my legacy right there.”
What can you say? If Shaq, Pinkney and McCloud, along with the other emerging Offensive leaders- KJ, for example - can get the rest of the team to feel this way, no one will beat the Canes this year....
