Hearing a new name emerge

Randy Shannon would be a great hire. I know some folks will scoff at the idea. However, I recommend that they check his stats as a defensive coordinator at the University of Miami. In fact, check the stats for the 2006 team that went 6-6 . The guy was lights out. He would also pull Brooks and Brownlee back into the class.
2006 being the Key word.... even Richt was a good HC back then

I think this would be it for me, this program is so ******* amateur

Me too. I just can't watch Randy's boring 2 deep safety defense and this horrible O. Been a fan 20+ years, and a UM alum. Been through the good and bad with this team, however I would need to take a break from Canes football if we have Richt and Randy on the same sideline. Randy is not a good DC. He is not creative, he sits back and expects each man on D to beat their opposing player on O. He is the defense version of Richt.

...He made his name coaching the greatest group of talent in CFB history. I could have done it.

No you could not. No f[]cking way.

Because you have no experience right? I mean thats what some are howling all over the board.

The truth is though, of course you could. A blind man could have been DC for Miami's 2001 defense and won Asst Coach of Year honors.

I would honestly much rather have Michael Barrow back, he has an eye for linebacker talent has been learning under a great defensive system in Seattle. Plus he’s a UM guy it’s a win win for everyone.

Randy would be a hire that is middle of the road for me. He can recruit and has proven that with the right talent he can coach one **** of a defense. Look at what he did with us and at Florida. However, his cover 2 scheme used to give me gray hairs and I'm more in favor of a young gun who has a similar style closer to Diaz and his scheme.

Guess we will see what Mark pulls out of his hat.

TIFWIW....Randy Shannon

He was a good coordinator before becoming a HC. He’s done well as a coordinator since leaving here...No denying that. But around here he’ll be remembered as an incompetent HC.

I just Want to start seeing some actually names being interviewed. Richt needs to be out in front of this
**** come to think about it. When we hear names about a potential DC before OC, it means that ship has completely sailed. Not that I previously thought an OC was coming before but **** this management is all the way ****ed up around here.
