Heard through a reliable source...

Why would they "be up" for this meaningless bowl game in the middle of nowhere?

Their shltty staff brought them to an embarrassing 6-4 record before the kids said "f it, we are done." No more buying into these clueless jackasses.

They've rightfully quit on a horrible coach. Bad coaches lose their locker rooms. Golden lost his at the end of hear 4. Terrible sign.

I hope the NFL scouts notice that they quit. I hope that the teammates who didn't quit, noticed the ones who did. When you quit, you don't get to name who you quit on. You quit on everybody. Quitters will quit on anyone, anytime things don't go their way.

People notice quitters. Personally, I fvckin hate quitters, no matter how justified they feel for doing it.

Then you should really hate Al Golden b/c he quit on us and this program January 2014, the moment he found out that he wasn't getting the PSU job. Remembers, players are a product of their coaching...if the coach is a loser, the players will be losers, if the coach is a quitter, the players will be quitters. Remember that.

Bowl games are Bowl****.

The only games that matter are the Final Four teams. The rest of the games are just a money maker for the programs, none of which goes to the players, while the players risk injury and perhaps even a career in the NFL (devastating injury).

They started risking injury the day they started playing football.

Exactly, and every game has injuries. Poor Cooper has his NFL career ended because of a meaningless bowl game. At least make the games they play worth something.

What does Duke have to gain by playing in the game? He only has things to lose.

Miami can lose by 50 and Golden is still the head coach on opening day next year.

That's not what I'm hearing. Folden will not survive an embarrassing loss to USCe.

From whom are you hearing this from?

Im hearing the same thing, he will not survive a Louisville repeat, from BOT

Sounds and smells like B.S.

its not and Ill throw another one that came with it, the UM Beckham deal has serious legs next to Marlins park

and some players need the bowl game as a last chance to impress NFL Scouts that are watching them.

Should I PM Whooping Cane for details or just follow Lake Lewis's twitter feed for updates?

I don't think that's how NFL scouting works.

Cool.
Does this happen before or after the city of Miami gets to host the Olympics (per my sources)?

Golden hasn't quit, he's just a lousy football coach. There is no justification for quitting without walking out the door. If you quit, turn in your ****. Don't take the field, go through the motions, and blame it on someone else. Be a man. Stand up for your actions. We can disagree on this, but I'll bet any NFL scout that sees a prospect quit in a game, doesn't give him an out because the coach sucks (which Al does).

That the players have 0.00 interest in going to Shreveport.... Buckle up gentlemen the boys might finish the job on 12/27

I'm not sure what interests them anymore as evidenced by their win / loss record. At some point pride has to come into play, providing they have any left with Coach Pyrite leading them.

Last year you'd thought they'd be UP for Louisville with all their Miamian smack talkers & UM rejects, yet the coaches and the players laid down. But they say now that they are focused and up for this Spurrier and his boys; more focused and keeping out noise.

Get a f'n grip!! Are you kidding me right now..."golden hasn't quit????" OK, what makes you think he hasn't quit? B/c he stands on the sideline putting on and taking off his headphone set?

How's our recruiting class shaping up? What passion have you seen from this guy when we are getting our brains beat in from 3 plays that Nebraska, GT, UVA, and Pitt continue to run against us? How about challenging the ref's call about a dropped pass vs. a fumble when we played FSU? How many radio and media appearances has this bum dodged just in the last month alone?

Don't tell me this guy hasn't quit on this team this year...Golden 2013 vs. Golden 2014 is not even close to the same person. He doesn't even care to change up his excuses nowadays. He's completely detached from this program, and if you believe that he's not, I have a bridge to sell in you in California that leads all the way to President Washington's nose at Mount Rushmore.

The other odd thing about this thread is how I stated last year heading into the Louisville game how missing crap bowl games the two previous years didn't matter to players....suggesting they enjoyed the time off as well as being with their families.

People were up in arms, saying it hurt our recruiting, all bowls matter, and players look forward to then. Fast forward a year, supposedly they don't now if the rumblings are believed to be true. Now that Coach Pyrite has lost all but a couple of supporters, the tune has changed.

I still say if you're in a bowl game, pride has to come into play. It's possible it won't but we'll soon see.
