Al likes players like himself -- hard working without talent. Probably spent his life being jealous of other kids with talent. If kid has talent and works hard too, Al still issues because the kid has talent. Think about the fact that he actually threw Duke under the bus but never waiver in defense of how hard Mark works.

You have to evaluate, recruit, and develop Ed Reeds and Santana Mosses.

Instead we bring in Kiy Hesters and Robert Lockharts.

You also have to cultivate that mentality. Reed and moss wouldn't have been the savages they were had golden been their coach. Eventually the coaches ******ry trickles down to the players.

Agree

These players need to realize that they have a very short window to prove themselves and move onto the NFL. Everything they do is just more "game tape". don't you think a kid like Stacey Coley should look at ANY game as an opportunity to save his OWN *** regardless of the coaches?
What do you think these kids are gonna do when they get drafted by the god**** Oakland Raiders or Tennessee Titans? They gonna lay down cause they don't like the coach or the team is losing?? waaaa waaa waaa!

Yeah your coaches suck and their scheme is lame but if Miami looks flat at THIS stage of the game then it's squarely on them. They have ALL expressed frustration over the coaches..we get it...you don't like it. But NFL scouts and talent evaluators dont give 2 ***** about that. Look at a kid like Sentreal Henderson. He cost himself MILLIONS by being a dog-*** lazy unfocused MEGATALENT. He's ballin out now but his low draft slot cost him starter money and he better hope he stays healthy long enough to score at least 1 big contract.

I know I'm rambling but at some point these kids gotta be ****** men and have some self respect. If they play hard and lose cause of our ****-*** coaching? Fine...the point is proven even more. But if they lay down to this SC team....you gotta start questioning THEM too.

Even if they THINK they're going to play hard, most of them won't. It's been beaten out of them.
 
Disagree, and if that's was the case, there wouldn't be one guy drafted because that attitude is not accepted in football. Whether you are 2-10 or 10-2, you have to always bring your A game effort. Players that quit now, will quit on other teams later on.

Players aren't robots. Teams only have a few totally self-motivated Alphas. They're called leaders. Others are role players. Teams need both.
 
Laying down in a bowl game is nothing new here, unfortunately. It always happens with corches - Erickson (fiesta bowl), Shancocker and now Ghoulden.

Sean Taylor played half a season not to get injured after it was clear we weren't going to play in the national championship.

And on a related note, if I were Duke, I would not play. I know he's a better person than I am, so he will. But I would tell this staff to f*ck off and ensure that I'm healthy for my professional career. No need to have a Cooper-like incident in a meaningless bowl.

Duke needs to hire an agent and move on. There's no way his family should allow him to play in that game especially with everyone on UM going half speed. That's a recipe for disaster.

Already a couple times this season, Duke's been thrown in harm's way for no good reason. No amount of rushing yardage he gains against that terrible run defense is going to help his draft stock any. He needs to come down with some kind of flu the night of the 26th.
