Heard Malik Henry is suspended indefinitely

After reading the article, he sounds like the 3rd string QB, with an "uppers" problem who is being encouraged to transfer.

I got to know Malik and his dad well while he was at Oaks Christian and a Westlake in SoCal. He was a selfish and entitled player here with little leadership skills. He transferred from Oaks because he didn't want to compete for the starting job but gave the excuse Oaks was too rigorous academically. No one here was fooled. He wants it given to him or he transfers. Malik's dad is a major enabler who didn't teach Malik about accountability or competition but was good at excuses. The rumor here was that he was kicked out of IMG for a failed drug test and had similar problems at Westlake that were covered up. I hope I'm wrong about this for his sake. I will be surprised he stays at FSU if his suspension is related to unhappiness over not starting. Like I said his MO here was based on promises to start and strings attached or he walked. The Long Beach Poly gig his senior year after transferring from IMG was very talked about and strategic because his family is from the Westlake Village area and Long Beach is about 3 hrs away. He walked into as a starting QB at a high profile school in Long Beach. This was no coincidence and dad had a lot to do with it. Jimbo knew this about Malik's character but after Winston he probably felt he can deal with any QB related problems. I'm not rooting against Malik but glad it's FSU and not us who has to deal with a talented QB who is a diva and has poor character.

Am very glad he is at fsu as I despise that school and anything associated with it.

Ironically this wasn't mentioned by FSU fans when he signed. They all preached he was the second coming of Winston.

Think of what the kid had to do to get suspended by Jimbo.
Ain't that the truth....Probably held down the couple who were stabbed and eaten by some idiot...Has to be worth a suspension of 1/2 game by Jimbo's rating system..

Been hearing rumblings for a minute now that Henry was the redacted name in Jimbo's divorce filing who was also banging Candy Fisher.

LMAO@...Jimbo ain't suspending anyone for anything. He basically is holding him out of practice until next week according to the story below from 247. All this is a story to try to suggest he is tough on his players.

Florida State freshman quarterback Malik Henry was absent from practice on Saturday. After practice head coach Jimbo Fisher informed the media that Henry is suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. Fisher did not go further into detail on the reasoning or on the length of the suspension.

After speaking to sources close to Malik Henry and Florida State, Noles247 has learned more about this situation.

A source tells us Henry’s suspension is from practice only. He is still with the team and a full participant in workouts and team meetings, he’s just unable to practice with the team for now.

Furthermore, multiple sources tell us Henry is not expected to miss the season opener against Ole Miss. The expectation is that he will be able to rejoin the team on the practice field next week. An exact date on that return is unknown.

Henry is said to be doing well. A source says that Fisher and Henry are now “on the same page” and that their relationship is stronger now than it was prior to the suspension. Despite being away from the team, Henry is “mentally in a good place”, he’s focused on getting back on the field and competing in camp with his team.

The main takeaway here is that, barring any new developments, Malik Henry will not miss the opener against Ole Miss and will likely only be suspended for a handful of practices.
