So we all know that we're 2-2 on the season. There has been a lot of criticism that we hired an inexperienced coach who needed to learn at a G5 school before taking this big of a step. We have a G5 school with a coach who has experience as both a college and NFL head coach just a few minutes away. FIU is 1-3 on the season.

Would it be feasible to offer to swap coaches for the rest of this season and maybe next season also? Manny would get the experience he needs without all of the pressure and we'd get all the benefits of bringing back Butch without the commitment and cost.

Very simple my friend. Manny has been here for almost 6 years and he is NOT a head coach and is at best an average defensive coordinator that can't recruit. He needs to be fired ASAP! His teams play with ZERO discipline, can't tackle, he doesn't develop players, and he is a LOUSY ROTTEN day game coach!

I'll humor the OP. Forget Butch, Miami, and the other school that must be involved for this scenario to happen. Let's just focus on Manny in this equation. Do you think Manny would agree to this scenario? HEEEEEELLLLLLLL No. Remember, Manny is the guy who didn't want Hightower to serve as the chief of staff. But instead, he agreed to bring in Ed Reed. Listen, I love ER20. Hall of famer. One of the best UM players of all time. One of the best football players of all time. But he brings nothing of substance to the Chief of Staff position. ER20 was simply a political stunt by Manny and the UM administration. That's it. When you think of the chief of staff office, do you think the function of that office is actually being fulfilled by ER20? I don't. When I think of a chief of staff office, I see that office functioning as an overseer kind of role with authority over the entire staff. Right? Or am I crazy? I don't think I'm crazy. And I don't think Manny would EVER agree to the scenario you laid out in the OP.

I think you should chalk this up as wishful thinking at best. I doubt it gets many responses because theres no possible way this could ever happen.

I think you mean Highsmith.

He's still Butch. Are you trying to claim that he forgot how to ID talent, develop talent, and coach...and would be unable to do anything with the current Miami roster and recruiting class?

Im saying he’s had one truly noteworthy season in 20 years of being a HC.
