Hear Me Out (Bag Man Related)

Need concrete evidence. Otherwise it’s just a guy that did not make into the NFL who is now trying to collect a check.

Being a private university hurts us a lot as far as boosters go. How can we get everyone on canes insight involved on the booster side of this.? Just a thought. Anyone know the criteria? I literally bleed orange and green and have been a cane since Schnellenberger, (I just dated myself) and get in an extremely bad mood when my team loses. I already have the U on my plate, which is Florida by the way, my girl is from GA.
I don't blame some of the kids flipping this year after the ****show that Richt left us with. That being said, Manny will change everything.
In Manny we Trust!

You think the FBI would take a bunch of has been CFB players who received 10k for their story seriously? Lol

The $EC mantra, "if you aint cheatn, you aint tryn!" It's been that way for years. We need to win and get back to playing Miami football on both sides of the ball.

I like that UCF is trying to do something about SEC and their obvious bag men. Personally, I think that they are going about it the wrong way.

IF the SEC teams can pay upfront for top athletes to play for their Universities. Why can't we pay these athletes, after their playing days are over, to talk about their experiences with the bag man. I'm positive that $10,000 or more will get a lot of ex-athletes to talk. Not the ones that made it to the NFL, but highly touted ex-athletes that didn't end up getting paid in the league. The amount of money they receive for talking will be depend on their national ranking coming out of high school or amount of evidence given. Money will be paid after documenting their testimony under oath in front of a attorney. Once enough documentation has been gathered, the hired attorney will hand all the evidence over to the FBI & IRS.

Someone needs to set up a GoFundMe account to get this started. If the NCAA won't do anything about the SEC, then the fans will fix the problem for them.

Unfortunately, anyone who talked would be implicating themselves to money laundering (potentially) and certainly to tax evasion, unless they somehow could show they had claimed the income and paid taxes on it.

Also, as noted, the payments tied specifically to speaking out would damage their credibility. Then again, if there were enough of them, pure volume could overcome the credibility issue. The concerns about prosecution would remain.

Taking this seed of an idea, the best approach might be for a financial crimes attorney, Sallah, Astorita and Cox, I’m looking at you, to pair up with a class action type of attorney, bundle a number of athletes and approach the IRS with an offer of testimony in return for immunity. On that basis, the athletes could pursue a class action suit for damages and punitive action on the basis that the pay for play scheme victimized them.

Just theorizing. Would love to see something happen, but it’s pretty pie-in-the-sky.

At the end of the day, we just need to get serious about winning, hire elite coaches, win the **** Coastal to start, and learn to play their game and be smart enough to get away with the same cheating they do. Our problem is, we’ve always been stupid about it.

In this day and age of social media, how come you don't see players outting Bama as paying players?

What are you going to do when the IRS audits them for not having paid taxes on this significant earned income? What will you do if the IRS threatens jail time?

You can give the exact, same financial data to ten different CPA's or ten different IRS agents - and you'll have ten different tax returns from either group.

What is SIGNIFICANT?

Recognized income - where you've paid the taxes on that income - is a final. What you DO with that recognized and taxed income that is left over after paying your tax on it - is your business - you can spend it any way you wish. No one cares.

If you receive cash, it never sees a bank, and you spend it along the way - who's to know or even make a guess as to how much you received or spent? There's no record!

The problem is the SEC continues paying the players for the rest of their lives setting them up with bs jobs. They’ve got a good system in place. I couldn’t tell how many former Alabama player used car salesmen I’ve met.

College Football is broken. It’s become MLB to me. Same rich teams paying the most are in the Championship/Playoffs just about every year. Alabama is the Yankees. It’s pretty sad.

Actually, theyre the Red Sox, unfortunately.

We havent won the Pennant in 9 going on 10 seasons. We didnt pay luxury taxes last year.

I get your point, but we didnt ruin baseball, they did.

Sorry, we didnt ruin baseball, Bud Sielig did. Interleague play, unbalanced schedule, lowering the mound and restricting stadium design. And yes, the Red Sox hypocrisy is terrible for the sport.

Because they all take ****. Y’all are so naive if y’all think it’s just the SEC. If all this **** blew up it would be players on our team that get caught too.

I mean, we see a few players flash money on social media. Kosi comes to mind. But you would think a scorn player would come out with proof that he received money, right?

Who would establish credibility of the one doing the talking?...................
How do we know unless there is proof and inadmissible evidence, that the select player is not reaching for the $$$$$$$$'s, and since everything is under the table that many fans would still not believe it.?
There are so many layers that would have to be peeled back, it would make an onion look like an orange.

I'm just saying, in this day and age, why hasn't a player blown the whistle on a Alabama or Georgia for dropping bags? Even after their career is over.

Because they family’s got jobs and houses from it. I know a dude that played db at bama was in the league for a very short period of time. The same boosters that got him there helped him get a job after. You burn those bridges you can’t use them connections no more. All that **** yo family got gone be taken. Parents fired. You’ll basically be an outcast. They know what they sign up for.

Thank you. Everybody wana ***** and complain like our players ain’t out here driving camaros and challengers too. They naive man

Last time we tried.... we had Neville gate..

They will slice and quarter any private school getting into their bag game ... only ones that can take them to task are big state schools like Texas...
