Louie Louie through G1.

42.5 gyds/p (long so far 49).

Good enough to tie for #42 vs NCAA last season.

I expect MUCH closer to 48/49 gypds/p when it's done (and that will be very hard to do).

Maintaining current average at least be better than last season, but fall short of what is possible.

Long way to go here. One low liner, kept composure when kicking from the end zone. No opportunity to coffin corner it so we don’t know about that yet. From all the preseason pub I thought he was going to kick it out of the stadium. He’s a’ight, other areas of special teams will need more work by UNC.

Decent debut, he looked solid enough..his best kick was when he rolled out to the right

Thats typically a rugby/Aussie rukes strength. Roll towards dominant leg (although I know several All Blacks who can kick 40 yds with their left kegs as well)

Agree with both of you...too a point.

He's an Aussie Rules alumni...he's had to kick with far more rush in his face with far less space.

I just expect more from him, hold him to a very high standard.

Not familiar with Aussie Rules but I’m sure he’s comfortable in that environment. This is new to him and I think he did good in the new setting

If it sounds like I'm criticizing him, I am to a degree.

So far a big upgrade from last year. However, I believe he is easily capable of 48/49 average when appropriate to measure AND drop inside 10 on those short and targeted punts.

UF punter averaged 44.7 with a long of 50

UM punter averaged 42.5 with a long of 49

I think he did fine. His hang time was actually really good.

Agreed.

I just demand better from someone with Louie Louie's pedigree.

Definitely better than last year in all measures of punting metrics.

His first punt was a line drive but I think it would have been blocked if he stepped into it. Heads up play by him just pooching it.

Special teams still hurting us tho. Thomas muff gave UF the lead back and Baxa has to make that FG. I knew we were losing when he missed that kick.

I'm glad you noticed his micro second decision. That wasn't by accident the way he kicked it. In that regard, on road to elite.

His other booms though need to go 50+ in that no-wind environment.

This isnt San Fran anymore.

He never shanked!! Feagles son was the worst punter in history.

Jarren gotta stop taking sacks to help Headley out

Agree 100%. That's where he clearly is most comfortable. Which of course makes sense.

It was night and day from the feeling of having feagles loser a$s out there, even though headley has much to work on like everyone else.

Headley Lamar was a vast improvement over last years punters and it was a Blazing performance last night too. SADDLE up for the rest of the year.

I see what you did there.
