Until Elko arrived, other than Shemar Stewart we didn't have too many recruiting battles with A&M which is probably an indictment of our lack of effective recruiting in Texas. Elko is expanding the recruiting footprint of the Aggies and I suspect there may be significant recruiting wars in our near term future. On the field, Mario has dominated 8&4 in the last two meetings and that may play a role in the outcome of some of these conflicts. The Canes silenced the 12th man on the field in the CFP. Will we silence them on the recruiting trail?

They are our main rivals this cycle and might be for years into the future. And that is without us establishing a foothold in TX. Once Mario gets traction in TX, the intensity of this recruiting rivalry will only amplify

Nicholas Lennear

Holland: my concern level is low.

Joseph: The Aggies have Jaden Upshaw committed and are trending for Eric McFarland, and them landing three of the top 10 receivers in this class has never even been considered a real possibility.

Mark Matthews

Holland: I feel very optimistic about Miami keeping the local five-star home.

Joseph: A&M has closed the gap in recent weeks and remains a legitimate contender, but I’m continuing to lean Miami in this one.

Oluwasemilore Olubobola

Holland: The Rivals RPM favors Texas A&M right now, and I wouldn’t argue against that right now.

Joseph: Miami and A&M both have the resources to be competitive. The official visits will seemingly be key here, but none have yet been scheduled. Not sure there is a clear leader

Kaden Henderson

Holland: I think it’s too close to call and will be determined on official visits.

Joseph: I believe this comes down to A&M and Miami, with the Aggies having the slight edge right now.

Jayquan Snell

Holland: it appears his commitment to the Aggies is growing stronger. As things stand now, Snell will be a tough flip.

Joseph: Snell informed Aggie Yell recently that he’s planning to shut down his recruitment soon. ....... Miami treated his family well and was in consideration for an official visit, but Snell does not appear likely to take that OV.

Boggles my mind how anyone chooses College Station over Coral gables all things being equal, but things aren't equal. A&M is throwing around crazy money right now. We have $$ to spend but oil money is a bottomless well, pun intended.

A&M and LSU! LSU only has like 4 commits, but their average is up their. People will see. We are battling them both. They are both all in on this class.

I hope the admin is prepared to stretch for guys we want this cycle, especially locals. This is class that will put Canes over the top for years to come. High ROI, plus strengthens negotiating leverage with conferences.

I'm sure they are but you also can't blow your wad on 1 or 2 guys. Need a balanced class. It's basically the salary cap age. And we don't actually know the numbers.

Yeah the reality is most likely if there is like a major difference between the $ offer for Mathews vs Olu... I mean Thats a tough one. You absolutely want Mathews to be the jewel of the entire class. But if the difference in offers gets you Olu AND you can put that towards ensuring you land a 5star DT/EDGE...
