Head to Head with the Big Boys: O$U Edition

@DMoney in the 5/10 Bank says Javeon Campbell got 5* talent. I was suspicious that the O$U reschedule was an excuse, but this seems to confirm that.

- DE Javeon Campbell (Frankfort, KY) is ranked as a mid-four star, but he is an elite, five-star type talent in my book. He's 6'5, 265-pounds, is the all-time leading scorer for his high school hoops team and only started playing football last year (14.5 sacks). He just canceled his Ohio State visit and is now visiting Miami on May 30th weekend. This is a name to know for the Canes. He's also visiting Georgia, Alabama, Auburn and hometown Kentucky.

D$ confirms that Miami is still working on flipping Na'eem Offord. Added to the OP.

@DMoney in the 5/10 Bank says

Miami is still battling for his teammate, five-star CB and Ohio State commit Na'eem Offord.

It's a good thing it's only summer, but I wouldn't talk about OSU recruiting at the moment. They're about 3 five-stars and 7 four-stars ahead of us at this time, and that's the facts. I would stay humble for now.

Second thread tracking our success recruiting against the big boys for key recruits. For years, Hartline has used SFE as a farm team and implemented reign of terror, taking whichever elite WR he wants from South Florida. Flo says the guard starts to change beginning with this cycle and the reign of terror ends after this cycle.

The reign of terror is over, couple years later than predicted but still welcome news.
