I'm curious here. Why do y'all only post on here with people that go against us?
Wasn't addressing anyone in particular brother. Just the overall point. Myself as I've told everyone that keeps sending me messages about anything other than the playoffs itself, right now I don't care bout nothing but the next game... #6incomingNot sure if I'm included in the "ya'll" above but the Head to Head threads have both recruiting wins and losses. This weekend there were to wins and one loss in the Big Boy Recruiting threads. Not a bad ratio in the world of portal recruiting.
And BTW, simply offering isn't enough. Needs to be a serious recruitment (i.e. on campus visit or at least an in home visit).
How do you see this game playing out? Keys to victory so to speak.Wasn't addressing anyone in particular brother. Just the overall point. My only concern is mental mistakes. We play a clean game and play to our strengths I think we'll be fine. Hopefully we're not bailing pre snap against receivers but I know better. How do you see this game playing out? Keys to victory so to speak.
Appreciate you!
I think we will roll out similar gameplan we used against Ohio State. Except will need to dedicate even more emphasis to Stopping the run and Containing Mendoza from scrambling. My only concern is mental mistakes. This is a VERY easy game from a preparations standpoint. We are very similar teams. We should put a game plan together with the same emphasis we would if we were playing our own team. Yes they're more pass heavy but it's very possession based. If we stop the run it'll be because we set the edge and stay in lanes. Keep them from getting outside. They're creative with their stunts on the dline and execute at a high level on oline. Cohesion is they're best trait. We gotta get home on defense and we gotta pound the rock on offense.I think we will roll out similar gameplan we used against Ohio State. I think this game comes down to
- do we shut down their run game (I think we do)
- do our cbs win more often in the contested catch situations with their wrs, and do our safeties have any blown coverages allowing too many explosives (imo most challenging matchup)
- does our OLine pick up their creative stunts and blitzes (possibly most important key)
- does our WRs make play (I’m confident they do)
- and does Beck have a C game or worse or a B game or better
I feel very confident in our run game against their run Defense, but our WRs being a real threat last 10 yards is the key there. I feel very confident in our Oline winning when there aren’t just pure MAs. I feel very confident in Toney and Daniels. And I love Scott and our DLine against them.
