do much coaching. What you need in a head coach is one who brings in top quality assistants. Manny has made bad choices. Look at the history of the JJ assistants most ended up very successful and even moved into the NFL. A relative of mine played for Urban Meyer at the gator...Meyer coached special teams, his assistants did all the coaching. Nick Saban has the best assistants possible for every position, look at the number of college head coaches that could not beat him until last week when Jimbo did it. Show me a winning head coach at any level and his staff will be loaded with quality. Lou Holtz went through a lot of assistants because he blamed them for losses and they quit r he fired them but he still got the best. Diaz has tried and based on experience his assistants should be a whole lot better than they have shown. In the past we got quality assistants on the cheap as they knew they would move up based on our talent base. The coast of living in Miami versus Trailerhassee or gatorville has been a problem for Miami, especially since our demise. All the time we see what the head coaches make but few look at how much our assistants make. Bama assistants can make millions, we can't afford that.

Eisenhower didn't storm the beaches in the first wave but his schemes were masterful and he was in charge of both offense and defense.

PS I don't think Tallahasee or Gaineseville has a coast so that should be an advantage for beach lovers

head coaches have to instill discipline and lead
Some can be players coaches but to do that u need great leaders on the team which this team lacks
If that’s the case the head coach has to be more alpha and u see many try with the td rings and the slip and sliding
Our players don’t respect him
They play like garbage Bc they know no matter what they keep playing

The last successful coach we had butch u could tell the players feared fking up
And I remember he would rip into players
But he also recruited alphas like reed to hold the team accountable

Serious lack of leadership since shaq and Pinckney left

Meyer and Saban micromanage the **** out of all of their assistants, so uhhhhhhhh no, a head coach has to be able to like… you know…. Coach
How do you know that? They expect their assistants to do the job they are assigned or they are gone plus by reputation and financially they get the cream choices. Manny n]made a mistake doing head coach and DC...name other head coaches that have done that, their are a few, but not successful. Folks here negate the fact that JJ's all had tremendous success port Miami. Are there any desirable currently that will end up like JJ's did? Diaz tried but doesn;t have the connections to get top tier.

So does Bill Belichik in the pros. He has been known to get upset with the way a certain position coach is teaching and he will take over coaching that group for the week before a game where he feels they are of particular importance.

Lincoln Riley is HC/OC. Seems to be doing pretty good.

It’s what happens when you hire coaches with ZERO HC experience. Not only don’t they succeed starting at a major college but their Rolodex is very small to hire decent coaches.
Also Good coaches aren’t coming to play for a coach they often feel they know way more than and inexperienced HC like Manny shy away from coaches they feel might use their added experience to undermine them so they hire ****** coaches to make sure they don’t…
