He didn’t have a great training camp

This. Ray was a late addition to the class and iirc not an early summer enrollee either. He was still grtting his feet wet as a true frosh and was thrown in and dominated early in the season as a true frosh. Rousseau had last summer, last fall, last spring, and this summer. Very different situations.

he was such a late signee, he's not even in the 1993 media guide. I remember how I found out was when Canesport arrived in my mailbox

Not buying it. There were plenty of reports of him dominating even last year. Hasn't he had multiple sack scrimmages? (Not saying much against our OL but still.)

Rousseau was showing out against UF for crying out loud. Dude is a disruptive player that needs to be on the field more often. Then again, I don't get why we can't find ways to get Brevin Jordan involved offensively, when it's obvious that in most cases, there isn't anyone on the field that can cover him. Miami doesn't know how to get the best 11 on the field, and they sure as **** don't know how to get the best players to do what they are great at.

Bruh...I understand utilizing Brevin as much as possible but he is the leading receiver for all TEs in the country at the moment....

People were dumping on Golden after the Maryland game.

Very few, but a lot of people like to point to that game like it was their moment of enlightenment. Miami Nights was taking all kinds of **** for his opinions on that game while every other suck *** poster was talking about the players we were missing as their excuse. A handful at most supported the "we got the wrong guy" line of thought at that point. People love to reinvent history though after the fact.

He was also the best player on the field the moment he was unleashed. Never saw a better defensive player, ever, any position, any level, anywhere.

All I read was Rosseau dominating every scrimmage with 3-4-5 sacks. Was he not jumping high enough and waving his arms in pass coverage?

Ive called this since week. This is Al Golden rah rah bullshlt and everyone should be worried.

This blowhard claims to be a diehard Miami fan.

Then he of all people should know the Jimmy Johnson theory on talent. Talent plays-- always. Talent always gets the benefit of the doubt. Talent beats out the nerd who shows up an hour early every day in summer workouts because no amount of work will stop that try-hard faqq0t from getting his *** kicked by the stud once the whistle blows.

"PERO broooo, Patchan showed up early to practice all month." That's cool Mandy you horse's ***. Too bad being early like a geek doesn't get you sacks.

We're not filming Rudy 2, we're trying to win titles. I pegged this decision by him for this exact reason since day 1. He should quit and go volunteer at a pop Warner amateur hour bullshlt team if he wants to set a depth chart based on effort and feelings.

This is big boy football.

Mandy either puts the studs on the field or the c0cksucker winds up back at his ESPN job cutting up film like a c0cksucking bltch.

A prime example of what you've spoken of is Miami's Grad-Senior playing safety. The guy was in the HOLE to make the tackle on the long run by GT in overtime. The GS safety totally MUFFED on the tackle! TOTALLY muffed up the play! So instead of 3rd and 5 , it's 1st and Goal. Game over!

But that's all moot now.

THE GREATEST THOROUGHBRED of ALL-TIME! No ifs, buts or who cares.

So help me out here. GR doesn't do enough in practice to start, but he does enough to come off the bench and play every position on the D line. Can someone explain to me how that is possible for a guy that doesn't practice hard? Why the **** isn't Patchan playing every position on the line?

Between his coach speak, coaching hires, personnel decisions, and mind blowing use or non use of timeouts, he's wearing really thin on me right now. Not saying he can't improve, but he **** sure better.

I'm sick of the easy, feel good hires.

I've got news for U bud. Boy Manny AIN'T going to improve. And the only way he'd improve is to have a handful of 5-Stars and a baker's dozen of upper-tier 4-Star's as starters. But he still might ***** up a game or two with his on the sideline coaching.

He'd have lost games with the 2001 roster.

I agree but you would get an argument from Lawrence Taylor fans.
Sure, they say that. I disagree with the argument. I watched a lot of LT. He was great, but a rush end, no matter how disruptive, isn’t the same as the best MLB, particularly in the era when teams actually ran the ball. Also, LT was not the motivational leader Lewis was. He was a borderline out of control guy who benefited from having Reasons, Carson, Banks, Marshall, Martin and Burt around him, and Parcells as HC.
