Why can't Jackson State play in the FCS playoffs? I believe I've seen FAMU play in it b4. I would like to see Jax State play against North Dakota State, Sam Houston State, South Dakota State, etc.

Why do I see them in the celebration bowl in every projection?

HBCU National Championship. FAMU won the I-AA championship in its first year of playoffs over UMass if I remember correctly but other entrees by them and Beth-Cook have been when they didn’t win the MEAC (so they didn’t qualify for the Celebration) but were good squads.

EDIT: it doesn’t look like BC has qualified for the yoffs since before 2015.

Also, FWIW I expect the format to change in some capacity considering the emerging national media’s interest (and subsequent dollars) to provide the SWAC more exposure and a chance to compete in the playoffs. Plus the MEAC about to die with FAMU and BC leaving.
