From what I heard he isn’t in trouble with the team, it’s whether he himself wants to continue being a part of it.

The difference is none of these "contracts" are binding. There isnt any CBA. If a kid gets his **** aired out by the staff or local media he can just say **** off and leave and there is zero recouping investment or replacing the players production or potential. While the players are employees in practice they are still students in title and are treated as such. This will change eventually and the secrecy behind it all will be less common or even beneficial to the program.
 
FSU went downhill in early 2000s because Bobby, in his old age, tolerated too many immature, selfish (albeit highly rated) clowns. The inmates took over the asylum fast. Not worried about that here for the same reason I think we’ll likely never see Lowe play a meaningful snap at Miami. Just my guess reading between the lines.

Of course the contracts are binding, generally speaking — collectives/licensees don’t sue because of optics.

The contracts being binding, and the athletes being collectible due to damage provisions, are two separate legal issues.

If there is anything that 05-10 should have taught us is allowing behavior problems to stay due to “talent” will wreck our program for 20 years.

This isn’t 1980 when recruiting fast players was an innovation.

Yeah, when I heard about Greg Jones having to literally beat the **** out of a defensive lineman for stealing from a teammate after the FSU coaches did nothing, I knew FSU was toast.

My point is the lack of a CBA is a part of the guise of amateurism associated with college sports and an example of the many reasons why college athletes arent having their dirty laundry aired out in public as swiftly and aggressively as professional athletes

As far as binding contracts it was discussed ad nauseum during the Mensah transition how none of these contracts, if properly vetted by a qualified attorney, function the same way as the contracts drawn up in professional athletic leagues that have collective bargaining.

You may owe money or have some recompense but if you had even an average agent or contract lawyer review the thing and protect yourself you can easily walk away at any time. This is not the case with professional sports contracts. Admittedly I am not a lawyer or agent so I am not equipped to argue semantics and specifics of particular language in these contracts but recent history supports my position that NIL contracts are generally not a deterrent for movement just an outline for compensation.

Eh, okay. But that’s not the whole story. No, NIL contracts are generally not a deterrent for movement, but it’s not just because there’s not a CBA. And a CBA isn’t the only reason players aren’t moving around from team to team in the NFL. There are many other issues involved that separate amateurism from professional sports.

Yea I agree theres many reasons. The lack of a CBA is just the most clear example of the difference between college and professional sports leagues
 
Hayden Lowe hasn't made a play on the field yet but he's always a topic of discussion on Twitter and the boards. Dude must flash like crazy in practice or he would have been gone already. There is an interesting line graph to determine this. For instance if you are this big of a F*** up you have to be exactly this good on the field. It's a very fine line and whenever you fall under that line, you become more trouble then you are worth, you will be cut. Think of an Avante Williams, if Avante Williams had ED Reed talent he would have never been kicked off the team. Cam Ward probably could have slept with every player on the teams GFs, ****ed in the halls of the facility and stole a car. He would still be your Week 1 starting QB

Yes we do, we hear he is unusually powerful &!Heavy handed for His size at 6’2 242lbs you shouldn’t be hearing from him as He is a True Freshman in the Trenches that take time in terms couple years to Develop.

I focus on traits & what ability he demonstrate , work ethic to get better.
