Hayden Lowe Should Play a Couple Snaps

He has been hurt all year.

I really don't understand why we are so focused on DE when we have four healthy CBs.
People are worried about our DE being gassed by tempo and quick passing attack. and yes the CB depth is scaring me.

Press the DBs up in the face of WR and aggressively jam every route…this throws timing off, forces QB to hold ball longer, and places our DBs in favorable position for quick game passing if and when ball is released.

Belichek used to do this to Peyton, Harrison and reggie wayne in the playoffs all the time.

I think this is the game where we have to rotate the line some. The ole miss o line isn’t what ours is, so I would think some of the youngsters would have some success in limited roles.
No this is not the game for this. This game we need experienced disciplined pass rush. Young DEs throw that coaching out the window and lose contain.

Watch some of the Georgia tape. There are at least a couple of plays where if the rusher keeps lane integrity the big throw doesn’t happen.

I don't understand CIS's obsession with changing the way we have successfully defended the pass all year to something that would increase the risk of giving up long pass plays for TDs.

Especially against a team that has 5 WRs who can and usually do take the top off any defense they play multiple times a game. Even moreso when we will likely be playing at least 2 guys at outside corner against Ole Miss who haven't played many meaningful snaps there all season.

We give up more short completions and yards in the passing game than we would if we jammed every route. Big deal. On balance it works out in our favor, because we usually tackle the receiver, get a ton of sacks and pressures, and create a lot of INTs and some fumbles. Don't understand why we would change what we do best against Ole Miss.

Edit: Defending the pass, we have given up 512 passing yards in 2 playoff games, at 11 yards/completion. We have given up just 17 pts (only 10 net points!), forced Reed and Sayin into 5 turnovers, sacked them 12 times, and pressured them a ****-ton of times. Why would we change what we are doing?

Couple people told me he was first off the bench with Blount before he got hurt

Cyborg ****
He was so ready to go he was willing to play without pads... but it wasn't that he wasn't dressed to play that shows he may be a few steps away, it was the analysis of message board body language experts that sealed his fate...

We have TWO first round edge rushers and two games left for us to win a national championship.

Bain and Mesidor should only leave the field if they are legit dying. This isnt the time to get cute

Yes but need to stagger the rest. There were times against osu where both bain and mesidor weren't out there. Csnt do that. One needs to be out there at all times.

peyton also had the gait and escabIlity of a concussed newborn giraffe so they had no downside to playing aggressive press man.

Dawg the way many on here be psychoanalyzing the smallest ****.. So NOW you agree he has an injury he isnt 100% from and will take months to recover but you want him SPRINTING from the field or on all 4s like Mike Irving.. :ibis-roflmao-sm3: What is this goofy ****, you a great poster breh but cmon

This is dam near close to the "Oh I saw Samson okunlola at Cal not looking part of the team last year, transfer portal bust talk" There is more I just cant remember because it always makes me laugh how ya be staring at these players from the stands and thinking dude supposed to act one way only..

it's funny, but Ive actually noticed Lowe on the sidelines really getting into the game, and getting excited for his teammates. That may not mean anything, but at least gives an indication that he gives a d@mn. I always worry a bit about OOS recruits when they don't play early, especially in this current era

Pickett is going to have to get some snaps
Scroggins might get more snaps

If we can run the ball and at least not have any 3 and outs, it will be the best thing for our defense

Oh I agree, especially the Cali kids cause its different and a long ways and usually not a large group on roster so the support system can be limited but basing things off sidelines liek the whole samson okunlola then people run to social media and make up stuff..

I didnt care much when it was just message board fodder, but people take stuff off here then go on twitter so they can look like expert to their followers for engagement when it was all based on some drunk ******* in stands saying he not cheering loud enough for my liking, wtfffffff :pgdead:

Yeah, those situations have to really be managed. This might be the first time Hayden has been sidelined and not playing in his football career. That's where you need some people on the staff to keep tabs on a young man, here and there. It can be as simple as asking him, 'Hey, you good?'

This is why this playoff run is so vital. Lets say hypothetically a kid is 50-50 on sticking around due to homesickness, being part of something like this could sway him. There's a real electricity around the program, right now

hitting landmarks -- and then staying on them, will be key. Have to create a curved picket fence around Chambliss. Also, an increased emphasis on getting their hands up in the quick throw game
