Have you guys wrapped your head around what USC and LSU did?

The lack of adequate leadership is exactly why we are in this position. There's been no alignment amongst the President-AD-HC. The President has been absent, the AD weak, and the HC not ready. This hasn't just been a Manny Diaz failure. This is an organizational failure through and through. There needs to an adult in the room, real leadership, and now there's seemingly a battle at the BoT level to be the interim leader until we get it right. This is being compounded by the element of time and local politics. This is precisely why Blake James needed to be fired 4-6 games into the season. This is also why I hope whoever we hire at AD is thick-skinned enough to not engage the local politics, not afraid to make the tough decisions, and puts the program and winning above all else. That's the culture we need.

There was a caller last night on one of the evening podcasts who had an interesting story to tell about Lincoln Riley and USC. His father was a frat brother with Rick Caruso, the USC BOT Chairman and he was invited to watch the USC-Arizona game (end October) in Caruso's box . There were a few other BOT members present and the subject of their HC search came up. He said one of the other BOT members commented on how "that was all wrapped up. That was weeks ago...

I don't think anyone believes Riley only spoke to them Saturday evening.....

Now I just heard Riley claim that Sunday Morning after the OKA St game was the very first time USC approached him. Right buddy sure.....

ND can with the right breaks make the playoff. LSU was like Who cares. Lets go get our man.

The Rumor out there is lets let Mario finish his season. BS.

Now my hope is everything is in place once the trigger is pulled on Manny. Why is that trigger not pulled yet?

I know this has been discussed ad nauseum on this board, but this is what message boards are for.

Bravo to USC and LSU. We can only hope that we have 1/8 of an impact with a new coach. Or we just go with

Building Something Special buzz phrase and hope it all works out.

Cause we act like a program that is where it is. We act like a fake we are a fake that's what we are. That's why we don't pull the trigger. We are basically USC right now when they hired Lynn Swann a USC guy. We are right there where they were a few years ago. A big stupid fuqin program that isn't tired of losing yet

The dudes that are following Riley were being recruited for a while...guess what, west coast guys...wonder why.

This **** was happening...dude has a family and everything..you don't make these types of decisions overnight. He's not a pro athlete who gets traded and ****...he made this choice a long time ago. That writing was on the wall.

As far as Kelly...who is to say that wasn't already there..O was out a long time ago as well. Not to mention, Kelly is right . ND can only ride that name for so much longer. We all see what UT and Oklahoma did. Kelly went after the money and went to the $EC. Good for him.

This NIL and transfer rule has completely changed the game...big time. Kelly know he has to be in a big money market to recruit and have success...or he knows he has to chase the big payday while his name is hot, either way dude is made now...he doesn't have to give a **** what anyone else thinks.

I just hope..and pray...that we have some legit things going in behind the scenes, to make sure we stay afloat.
Otherwise settle in, because the moves we make in the next couple weeks...are going to really tell the Nation where we stand as a program.

He would be but I doubt miami is gonna call him. They'd rather stick with Manny

Don’t get me wrong the should have fired both of them after the Michigan st game.
