Have we talked about how bad ACC officiating is

They called Chase Smith for holding on the Jeremiah Smith crossing play that scored against Jaboree Antoine (who would have tackled him but teammates blocked his path). Chase Smith grabbed their TE for 2 seconds max and let go. The call was declined by OSU to accept the TD of course.

OSU benefitted more from the non-calls - Smith pushing off and the DBs being real handsy, etc but I do appreciate the refs at least being consistent in letting both teams play. The only time ACC refs swallow their whistles is when opposing OLs are holding our DL.
Smith pushes off a lot. Being a bigger guys he uses his size and strength to create separation. They don’t call it so I would too.

I was thinking lastnight have we had any targeting calls on us this year ? Gotta give props to coaching n players !! We use to have 4 a game 😂

Go back a rewatch the Pitt game and tell me calls weren’t going our way.

they may hate us when we play duke, NC, etc. but as their only representative in the cfp, and the only team earning the acc revenue this post season, to assume they would try and tilt games in the cfp against us, in favor of a non conference opponent, is not only asinine, it is a glaring example of the Miami fan persecution complex stereotype.

Either way, not going to continue disagreeing with you about it. Today is a wonderful day. Go Canes
That’s one anecdotal example. It’s known thing that when a game is being dominated by one team, the refs usually put their whistles up. All the examples of poor ACC refereeing and you pick one game.

“Miami fan persecution complex stereotype”

U woke up on some real prick wanna be elitist sucka ish this beautiful morning. If you trying to win a point with a fan do your thing, but don’t diss us collectively and gaslight in the process.

McAfee said on College Gameday that the refs told him before the game that people aren’t watching the game for them to throw flags… and they maintained that approach most of the game.
This is how it should be! They missed calls but **** I hate it when the refs try to "manage" the game.

All the pearl clutching about our "undisciplined" team over the last couple of years has been aided by a lot of human error that wasn't wearing orange & green.

The only time I saw us come out ahead this year with ACC refs was that last game against Pitt. If the ACC was given a choice they’d have put forward a 5 loss Duke team as their playoff entrant.

The absolute best approach.

ACC refs make it a point to become the focal point in every game and forcefully heavy hand every game.

Fans would rather see very few penalties in a game than see some amateur asshat 15-20 times a game shaping the outcome and slowing the pace even more.

It's been crazy to see how much hitting has been allowed, in both our games. In the ACC, these games would be stopped every other play for a booth review or a flag for unnecessary roughness aka "tackled him too hard"

I’m the guy that did a full blown statistical analysis mid way through the season showing how we get ****ed by the refs. I know we get ****ed.

I also was going to follow that up later in the season to see if the unbelievable biased officiating against us continued, but they didn’t.

my comment was, claiming we would also get ****ed in the cfp against a non conference foe has no basis in fact, based on how the end of the season was called in our favor, and because there is no incentive for them to tilt against us.

The persecution complex is a stereotype that exist. I didn’t make that up. That’s not dissing “us”.

That cut block was brutal ....reminded me of Rusty Medaris injury

SIAP but are cut blocks are still legal inside?

Having played that position in high school I can tell you cut blocks are pure evil. I feel like players should get ejected immediately for them.

And was that hi lo intentional or accidental on Moten. I was livid..

Exactly... give it the same treatment as targeting

Ok that’s all cool.

That stereotype does exist and it’s false. It’s a lie. We are judged and treated differently. That’s an observable fact.

Ironically, the OSU player didn’t hold Bain on that play. They mauled them on multiple other plays and there was pass interference on both sides of the ball by OSU. Miami probably got away with a targeting call. Evened out I guess.
Video has the interior guy holding. Might have been wrong number called.
