Hate the secrecy around the team

We have a new defense and probably a totally changed offense, why should we let Notre Dame know what we're doing? I don't see their playbook online anywhere.

My source has said that we'll be running a Wing T until they're certain Beck is 100% to throw, then we'll switch to a full Air Raid. On defense, expect a nickel defense as the base package so we can take advantage of the new talent in the defensive backfield, switching to a dime package in obvious passing situations.

Do you think the team will perform better if you have more intimate knowledge of personnel and game planning?

Not for nothing, we are kind of at a point to where each practice update, is the same updates. Anything notable typically leaks out anyway

To me, the issue is not so much the secrecy but the "info" that does come out and could very well be orchestrated. When, say, a new player is said to be lighting Greentree, is the leak meant to motivate the player ahead of him or around him to work harder. Also, is leaked info meant to boost the ego of a player who is suffering from a lack of confidence? (Doesn't have to be leaked. Didn't Mario, in preseason, call TVD the best -- or one of the best - QBs in the country? Now Mario has been around many, many QBs, some great ones too, so how could he say such a thing?)
It's fun to follow the program and the progress or lack thereof of the players but buyer beware.

We really won’t know what we have until the games start. As far as TVD, he was good(especially under lashlee) until he stopped being good.
