Haskins Commits to Miami!

Maaaaan WVU is ****ed. The OV weekend that Haskins visited WVU so did another uncommitted prospect, both left Campus silently committed to WVU both have committed elsewhere. On top of that 2 other visitors were committed publicly to WVU coming into the visit and flipped not long after. My God.

Very Miamiesque

Really like his frame and he has big strong hands. Usually a guy that plays QB or something like that in HS and moves to TE, the only issue is working on their hands and blocking (Jerome Washington's problem as well). Looks like he is at least a good pass catcher already.

Like someone said above.. he's not slow. He really seems to pick up ground, he's just a long strider. Not many LBs are going to be able to run up the seam with him and not many (actually I don't know of any, maybe Jamel Cook?) are big enough to cover him. Really good mismatch. I really like what I see in the potential here.

Hartley went to jersey and dropped that ****in bag off.

This **** is getting tiresome. People get all cornball over the dumbest of things and only some of our moronic fanbase would even home about bagmen when we're a marked program by the NCAA.

Good close by Right and company.

Obviously the staff knew Haskins was coming Monday when richt visited or he wouldn't have canceled Eubanks visit...

WVU calling us "cheaters"

He has some monster strides when he runs, it looks slow, but look at the separation he gets on the defender..
I'm not an expert at evaluations but in that clip his steps actually make him look slow kind of deceiving. He appears to have good hands as well

It's the fact that although he's a strider, he has really good feet and can pivot to change direction quickly while accelerating back to his top speed immediately.

But let this dumb ****z be mad about me saying his feet are better than Warlords...smdh

That's a great way to describe it, I'm not sure he needs a RS year. But we have got some solid TEs here now.
Matchup nightmare for some defense

Nah he needs a RS year most definitely. Competition level is going to be a bit of a shock initially. This kid will be working against Darrion Owens everyday. That's a long way from Bergenfield. He's going to need a lot of blocking work. He's got plenty in front of him as well. Good thing is that him being a QB should better prepare him to learn a playbook.

He looks like he's 6'6''. He's huge.

Watching his film again he still seems slow. Has a nice frame, though. I'm pretty sure at UGA Richt liked having a nice big body TE in his ****nal that can block, move the chains, and be a redzone threat. Haskins will be a nice compliment to the more new-aged TE: pass-catching and athletic specimen Njoku.

I remember watching Njoku's tape thinking "man he looks slow as heck to me". I was only ok with it because of his high jump record....hopefully we strike gold twice.

Exactly this - large athletes with big strides look deceptively slow. Go watch Lebron from the rafters, then go watch Lebron from the front row. He looks completely different depending on how close you are to the action. Long striders always appear slow from a distance. Both Cam Newton and Vince Young (lol) have/had very similar strides and they demolished the secondary with their legs.

Now if this was the good old days, this dude would show up and his locker would be with the DEs, and dudes like Davis would be teaching him the position to go with that great frame and athleticism and he'd be a terror.

I'd love to see Richt/Diaz do the same, especially since Coach Kool is the best in the business IMO.
That's EXACTLY what I was thinking: Could he be converted to defensive end???
