Has UCF passed us as a program?

Some of you need to forget the **** past. In the last ten years, who has been the better program? Who has been to and won a BCS game? Who has made national headlines with elite QB play? Who has better facilities, an on-campus stadium, public funding, 55k+ students and a monster alumni base (that is quickly growing to be one of the biggest in the country).

I'm talking about the present.

Which program gets more press? Higher tv ratings? More national acclaim? Better recruiting classes?

lol the lone AAC team we played this year is 8-3 and 7-1 in conference and we beat em soundly. i dont have faith in golden beating anyone in a bowl game situation bc the dude cant coach, but i dont know if half the AAC would stomp us.

I am not saying their past is better than ours, im not saying they have a better outlook if we make smart choices as far as coaches and sports. At this exact moment they are past us. They beat Baylor in a BCS bowl, they beat Louisville they curb stomped us, they have won night games. With our talent and the right coach we would make them another West Central Nowheresville school but they have a coach, they have a 1st round draft pick (we might have 1 this year), and they are making noise. That was the point I am making is at present especially after this weeks circus they are in a better spot. 1 coaching change changes the whole game.

ill agree bout coaching. they have a better coach than us right now but that wont last long bc of age. I'm hoping golden is gone ASAP and i hope the heat thats being put on UM forces the change now. butch, schiano, chud would have us in a much better position. if we play em the debate bout them beating us will be settled. btw their first round pick is absolutely terrible in Jax even w the crappy team they have there. he shouldn't be starting and def needed to sit on the bench for a year.

**** our UFA Hurns is a better player there. But they can say they had a 1st round pick. If we can get golden gone and get a coach that can keep the talent home and coach it corectly then this thread is dead.

Also they have the opportunity to grow rapidly. As an alum I can tell you their student body is HUGE! They have had great players come out of there also so it is not like having solid players is something new to them. Brandon Marshall, Duante Culpepper, Kevin Smith, Sims-Walker, Asante Samuel, and there are others I am sure I am missing.

They've had the same opportunity for a while now. USF, same thing.

Not disputing that they've had some solid players, but in comparison to UM, there is no comparison,

Right now if you are recruiting for UCF its a good time. 2 Conf titles in a row beat Baylor in a BCS bowl last year. Miami is down, UF is down, so now you may not get FSU kids but you can poach UF and Miami kids. We are winning we had a first round draft pick blah blah they are on the way up. Now if they do tumble it will be quick and ugly like USF but if they can keep it up they are a force.

They dont even recruit central florida good...lol @ poaching kids.

They recruit south ga probably harder than they do dade/broward. Oleary doesnt need it as he is developer...but gtfoh with their recruiting prowess....

Theyve reach their peak already..whoop di doo they have a huge population...75% of the communter kids that go their are UF/UM fans...

This is coming from me....who was offered a football scholly to go there....THEY WILL NEVER SURPASS UM AS A PROGRAM..even with the sh*tty folks we trot out there as coach. Even this year as bad as we are...i think we beat them......And my own cousins is one of their premier wr's.
