I do give Indiana credit. They are **** good.
They tackle block run hard play assignment football and make winning plays…back shoulder fades were clutch for them

But

Am I crazy or do we win this game if we don’t self destruct? Special teams was a disaster…
Missed fg
Mali fielding punt at four yard line vs letting it go
Block punt as we let dude go by brown and Baumann!

Miami Gave away 7 and missed 3

And of course Beck got greedy when he never should have. He should have been thinking time as well as distance!!!

Miami only mind wasn’t beat
By Indiana they gift wrapped it w a couple two many mistakes - self inflicted!!!!

Hard pill to swallow

Cignetti knows he got lucky to get out of there tonight imo

Yup, we killed that team in the 2h…Beat the **** out of them.

Slow start and blocked punt were the difference.

As much as we might have given it away, you have to give IU credit for playing great situational football. They have done this against so many teams that at some point you have to tip your cap. We will be fine. Let the hurt sink in because that’s exactly what you need to grow as a program. I’m feeling extremely hopeful and won’t lose sight that we beat all of our biggest rivals this season and run this state.

We had some disaster moments and still had the chance to win it with less than 2 min to go.

4th & 5, QB draw for the TD is the difference.

It was the most obvious time to call that play. And Hetherman has been beat this year by draws.

We definitely play down to teams… especially two TD dogs.

This game was just cig and his staff being a little better… someone spotted Bauman being frozen in his stance and said try him and sure enough

That’s the mark of a good team, though. I’m with you, another one score loss. We still haven’t lost a game by more than 7 since 2023. I am 100.0% certain those 2 teams tonight are the best 2 in the country. So we’re right there, obviously. But the difference between excellence and legendary is very, very slim. Legendary teams don’t beat themselves. We said this for 10 days. Indiana doesn’t beat themselves. They’re really good, and what makes them great is they play smart, disciplined, sound football. We lost tonight because we didn’t.

That’s the difference. So yeah, we haven’t been “beaten” in 2+ years. But when you beat yourself, that’s on you. This was on us. They’re good, but they’re beatable. Clearly. All that 2019 LSU **** was ******* LAUGHABLE. But you gotta do everything well to beat good teams. You can’t forget to block on punt safe. You can’t have penalties. You can’t miss field goals. You can’t turn the ball over.

Those are 2 very evenly matched teams. But part of being a good football team is the most obvious **** ever…you gotta play good football. They did that better than us tonight. Thats why they won. And it sucks, because it’s not like we were outclassed. But you can’t be confused when you lose to a team who plays better football than you.
