That the coaches are QUICKER to make changes on offense (besides Mallory and Harley), with continued drops, lackluster blocking, poor communication on the O-Line, etc but trot out the same players on defense, when they make the same mistakes, game after game? I’m not calling out anyone by name, but what has certain players on the D-Line done to continue to get meaningful snaps week after week, while we have a 5 star rotting on the bench? We have DBs giving half *** effort, missing tackles, jogging, game after game. Are Dunson and Clarke (are they injured?) THAT bad, where we can’t give them some burn? LB recruiting has been HORRIBLE and injuries have killed us but ****, might as well play the young guys to see what they can do.

I’d much rather the young guys make mistakes and learn (and at least have a reason to suck so bad), than seeing 4th, 5th, 6th year guys continue to miss assignments/tackles…. When will changes be made on the defense, as quickly (somewhat) as it has been on the offense?

Overall, when will players be held accountable when they f**k up? Stop letting these guys play the next snap when they drop passes! Half *** effort? Take they *** out the game! Stupid penalty? Bench. This is why we see the same s**t week after week!

**RANT OVER (not quite because I can keep going….)

Goes back to accountability, or lack there of. All of this garbage starts with the coaches. This is Manny‘s defense, his team overall. Making huge changes means he failed (again). He is going to keep his guys on the field, performance be damned. This is a week in, week out thing. I understand no one is perfect. Players are going to drop a pass here or there. Someone will miss a tackle or a read. It happens. But for our players, this is a continuous occurrence. We are literally a joke and it starts with Diaz (and James). I’ve seen posts saying Manny is trying. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t suck. Let him try elsewhere. Not at Miami.

***And she can keep going if you let her 😅

Fact of the matter is a lot of the youngin’s got burn yesterday. Williams, Kitchens, Brinson, Arroyo, Restrepo, Flagg, Smiff, Brashard, Brown, Roberts, Chantz off the top of my head.

Once we get an AD that actually gives a **** about the athletics at the school, then he’ll bring a coach that is actually qualified and well produce better. Our top 3 sports have gradually done bad over the last few years. Basketball, baseball, and football (been bad for over a decade now). When will we have people in charge that will made the RIGHT change?

Offense was a year late on benching Pope and Wiggins. Two games late on Scaife and Donaldson. And still refuse to sit Mallory and Harley. They ain’t no better than the defense.
Quick to make a change on the offense (now, sure as **** didn’t last year), but the defense? Manny’s defense? Abso not.

And they need to keep playing. A few snaps here and there aren’t going to make these guys happy, when the older guys in front still look like ****. Arroyo need more PT. I’m done with Mallory. Hall can GTFO as well. bolden doesn’t look any better. The list goes on. We need to start prepping for the future or we won’t have one. Why would Kelly and Stewart want to come here when there’s a 5 star on the bench that can’t get in? What makes them think they can get in if LT can’t?

absolutely.webp

Does Mallory even like playing football, I haven't even notice him this year ( except for the big drops): Like JJ used to say, get kids that love playing the game.

Mallory looks miserable out there. Like he's about to cry. Meanwhile Arroyo pops off the screen and plays with pep. Harley does a million spins every time he catches a short pass but he's actually not bad after first contact. Still, he should be losing snaps to Restrepo and Brashard unless he begins to rip off big plays like they have. I'd love to see a shake-up on the OL but there's simply no options unless they go full youth movement.

Harley is a nice story and surprisingly, he's up there in the all time WR categories which is insane. That said, he shouldn't be our best WR or our 2nd best. He should be a WR3/WR4 on a good team.

Very disappointed in Mallory. Maybe being the #1 guys is too much pressure for him.

Really appreciate Harley, he stepped up when no one else did last year. But as you said, he should not be our number 1 or 2. Three at best, even on this team. I hope all these guys wake up NOW and realize that the Coastal is still open for us. Although I want Manny/Blake gone, I can't root for us to lose. I want to win. We need to take advantage of this sucky *** division.

Arroyo pops off the screen constantly, and half the time, he is is just blocking. Let Arroyo play more. I don't get Diaz and his loyalty to players who haven't been performing.

Generally speaking though, it is easier to sub on offense than defense (other than DL). Here’s why, you have someone on offense mess up typically you just lose the down and then that’s it. You let someone in the secondary or LB mess up the other team probably going for 6.

Exactly! No better. Slow all around.

Question I have is who is making these decisions? Head coach or position coaches. Is Lashlee picking these guys and is just as bad as Manny?

Maybe he is thinking too much…. Or the expectations are too high? Either way, he is literally hurting the team. He can’t catch, nor can he block. Why is he still out there?

True but at the same time, maybe just KNOWING you can lose snaps will help these guys “get it”. They continuously make the same mistakes/have dumb penalties (both the offense and defense), and they play the very next snap.

It’s a little deceiving. What sets Harley’s #’s apart from true greats is

1. We haven’t had a run game to save our lives.

2. He’s been the best out of the worst, so he had been our most reliable & most targeted

3. He had 3 incredible games last yr which skewed his #’s

Go look at all of our all time great WRs & they’ll all have teammates opposite of them that were drafted highly or drafted at all. ****, even Hurns had Dorsett & Hankerson had Benjamin.

This has been a **** poor collection of WRs & O as a whole in a minute; Harley has inflated #’s b/c of it.
